Create Success (dont Fall For It)

                        Don't Fall For It!

"You are never given a wish
without also being given the power
                     to make it come true.
You may have to work for it however."
                     - -  Richard Bach

With the economic turmoil that we're experiencing
has come a new wave of business opportunities
for people displaced by this hard times.

Now, you know that I'm a fan of opportunities and
I believe that everyone should take charge of their
own life. But there's a trap waiting, and I don't want
you to fall in it.

The trap is a seductive one and comes in many
forms but the common characteristic is that the
sales pitch says, "It's easy!"

You see it in internet marketing, with pitches for
things like private label rights material that claim
you can take this stuff that someone else wrote,
throw up a web page, buy a little traffic and watch
the money roll in.

You can see it in network marketing where you're
told that you can start a simple business in your
own home and in your spare time build a business
that will earn you Caribbean cruises and early
retirement.

The problem, as successful marketer Perry
Marshall likes to point out, is that businesses that
claim to be "so simple anyone can do it" have a
99% failure rate.

They don't have that failure rate because the
businesses don't work, they fail because the
people coming in to them think it's going to be
easy, and they're not prepared for what it really
takes.

That's lesson #1 - don't start anything thinking it
will be easy. Be prepared to change your routine,
work hard, make mistakes and learn a lot.

I have a good friend in a network nutritional
company who's now going on those award cruises.
She got there by working 8 - 12 hours a day for 10
years and getting thousands of rejections, without
quitting. In her success is the second lesson for
you to consider.

She succeeded because she's passionate about
the products and feels that she's making a
difference in people's lives by solving health
problems. That passion has kept her going
through all the late hours and discouragements.

That's lesson #2 - choose something you're
passionate about, because if you do it for the
money, you'll fail. You've got to be driven by a
higher purpose!

Now here's the good news. If you're mentally
prepared and you're passionate about what
you're doing, you can have anything you want!
Just choose carefully.

I'll close with another quote from Richard Bach:

"In order to live freely and happily,
        you must sacrifice boredom.
It's not always an easy sacrifice."
I think living freely and happily is worth it!

Here's to playing big in life,
To our success
