Danger! Danger!
Forces against Nigeria’s World Cup ticket uncovered … Fans call for Amodu’s sack
Sunday, April 5, 2009
Nigeria are up against so many forces as they struggle to qualify for the South Africa 2010 World Cup.
Following Super Eagles unimpressive performance against Mozambique in Maputo last Sunday, a prophet has prophesied that Nigeria will not qualify for the World Cup event.

•Amodu
According to him: "I am a man of God and I am speaking the mind of God. What I am telling you now, was divinely revealed to me by God. The truth is that Nigeria will not be in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.
This is so because some Nigerians are mocking God, some of the players are not serious at all even as both the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the technical bench are confused. Indeed, there is a spiritual force against Nigeria as far as the qualifiers are concerned," the prophet who pleaded anonymity said.
Asked why he does not want his name in print, the fierce-looking man of God said: "
Look at me very well! I have lived for seven years drinking only water. I am not making money from my mission as a missionary. My mentor and God, Jesus Christ, never called a press conference when he was doing all he did. It was after he died, resurrected and ascended into heaven that his deeds were recorded. So also, please, do not write my name or my missionary in your paper. When I am gone, the spirit of God that sent me will reveal my identity."
He observed that a worse disaster is awaiting the Super Eagles in Abuja and Kasarani. He said: "We should even be grateful that Nigeria ran away with a draw in Maputo last Sunday To be honest with you, Nigeria will be disgraced in Abuja when Tunisia come calling and even a greater shock in Kasarani when they play guest to Kenya on the last day of the qualifiers."He added:
‘What I cannot guarantee now is whether or not the forces against Nigeria can be appeased so as to make things easier and clear for the Super Eagles. For now, the forces are: the players pride, and as you know, God hates pride. Two, the current coach came through the window – I mean he took another person’s job, so the god of soccer is angry. And then, Nigeria are not in good condition, so there is no way, the football sector will work."
Meanwhile, some fans have called on the NFF to sack coach Shaibu Amodu immediately and employ a sound foreign coach and be given a four-year contract. According to one of them, Emma Okey of 34, Ebo Street, Ojodu: "The fact remains that Amodu has no business being in the Super Eagles again. He is a coach of the past. The NFF should employ a sound foreign coach and give him a four-year mandate. I am not talking of a coach like Berti Vogts, but one in the mould of 1989/94 Clemence Westerhof."
