DAAR COMMUNICATIONS Plc operates in an industry that the practice is credit business where revenue is on amortization basis that is indeterminable but based on lobby, persuasion and incentives. As the revenue trickles in, there are various and competing demands amongst which the most critical are; Diesel, Salaries, Content/programmes, Equipment acquisition, Maintenance, Manpower development, Corporate promotions, etc. The recent expansion in the organization was achieved from the proceeds of the IPO and the doggedness/resources of Chief Dokpesi. This was meant to better position the organization for global competitiveness. As an independent producer, I am aware of the Chairman and management's effort towards liquidating the outsatnding salaries in the shortest time possible. Thanks to DAAR Communications for democracy in Nigeria.

Are you one of those pot-bellied top execs in daarcomm who collect egunje? Because this your post is nothing short of an appology for this shameful practice

Mr spokesman for dokpesi! its quite amazing how you have fronted for the so called company! a man with no other source of income, being owed 6 months salary would definately not take sides with your comment. i cant say much though as most of the people working in that company has made more fortune than what they earn as salary from egunje! They sure get a lot of tips and some of them is affluent enough to pay even dokpesi salary x 10yrs

I think the workers should write to the Stock Exchange to get them suspended or even expelled for this!
with the number of lawyers they invite onto their 'democracy' programmes you'd think they know the law
why isnt this in the news by the way?

The problem in this country is that we often see our rights as priviledges!!! how then do u explain the fact that the rogue of a man dopesky is feeding fat off his workers sweat and nothing is being done about it. The workers shld revolt or get a lawyer involved (thank God some of our courts now dispence a semblance of justice).

Mr Dokpesi,so sorry i have to say dis, U Sucks, u're such a lousy Vessel, who's opportune with some Devil's son connection, lol but it's not funny, really i used to ask myself that if i should continue dis way i will end up single guy till i die , u ask why , how would i feed wife not to mention the pikins, the annoying part is that some Hungry/hopelost/lowlife management staffs will put on a bullet proof vest to guide this potbelly man, and i understand because most of them are NTA's Pentioneers. During the IPOlise (ladi's slang), yea i mean I.P.O , staffs were use to generate incomes for this company , they make promises but wat we got after the IPO was salary reductions, this is for you Dokpesi, i will see you go down real soon, Thanks to the Brain behind this forum, he just paid January and febuary 2 days ago, i guess this is getting to him, and has people hear that he just paid $2 million for the coverage of U17 world cup coverage and meanwhile he's fucking owning my ass some months, this goes to your family , now listen, for as long as your father make people suffer so will suffer in your whole life, did i hear amen, i will be back,

this one pass me o!!!well, after all said and done, shouldn't we be looking at,what AIT or is it DAAR Communications is about to do?that is the hosting of the under-17 broadcast rights that has just been given to them by FIFA.thank Goodness FIFA did not come and say no Media house in Nigeria can do it,so there-fore let's go to South-Africa, or else-where,this is a giant leap and first of it's kind.i think we should look at how we can make them(DAAR Communications)do it right and do it better, they have their short-comings though, just like any other Organization.

I am a Staff of another television station and was priviledged to attend a capacity development course.
DAAR Communications Staff constituted more than 2/3 of the class. This is certainly on indication of a focused, resourceful and dynamic organization led by Dokpesi. Dokpesi has revolutionized broadcasting in Africa. He can do more for his Staff and I believe that he will pay them

DAAR Communications Plc has provided jobs for thousands of Nigerians across the country.
My prayer is that God should help them to reap from their investments.

AIT is a typical Nigeria where every thing goes.outside watchers sees the coy as bouyant, roburst coy,but its where highlevel fraud and corruption.stealing is celebrated.staff caught are promoted.the coy live frm hand to mouth.nowonder staff welfare zero.directors salaries are twice those of gm who are just a level below.i spent 13yrs and was sacked wtout reason.graduates are treted as nothing.the ipo prospectus showed it.where directors hold OND equivalent as thier highiest qualifications.can employ 500 and sacked them after one year.infact AIT needs devine intervention because voodo, and wicthcraft are common.married women are used because they want promotion.,pls good people of Nigeria help fast and pray for the coy because of our brothers and sisters are still there.

All those writing in support of the illegality going on in daarcomm, I hope you will be able to bear the consequences when the unfed children of those AIT staff begin to rain curses of you. Think about that.

In terms of self development and professional actualization, they are one of the best in the world. When AIT covered the Ghanaian Presidential Election, I saw this

i am not surprised at all at this. from Dokpesi's past, we know he delights in debt. remm the Banks? himself and his mangement team, (that is if he has one) has no respect for staff welfare. i keep seeing him on tv, showing off his epiupments, the latest techonogy money can buy, his top management team has the latest cars in town, yet the other staff suffers its soo very sad, the junior staff keep dropping dead cos of hunger, stress, etc. My brother works there, so i have the facts. last year the salary of the junior workers was reduced by 20% now i heard Dokpesi wants to reduce it by 40%. the man is heartless. what beats me is why the staff are still working for him despite his callousness. the MD is even worst i hear. WHY CANT THEY JUST WORK AWAY?

The man is only capitalizing on the hopelessness of nigerians. he knows there are no jobs anywhere so even if he cuts their salaries by 80% many will still opt to remain and continue working slavishly.

"A mouth dt is closed will neva be fed". There is a culture we've all been force to adopt in Nigeria " suffering & smiling " . The gigantic power of poverty, has confined most Nigerians 2 b happy in sorrow, slavery, etc. Dis act suffice in all sectors of d our economy. Why can't d AIT/ Raypower workers voice out? Of course they dare not, for obvious reasons. Lets try 2 embrace & increase on being d boss of ourselves. It's b'cos people are enticed by d huge money presented 2 them 4 d 1st time, so they pay less attention 2 d ' terms & conditions applied ' aspect of d contract. Let's improve more of becoming 'bosses' ourselves i.e an entrepreneur. Don't put all your eggs in 1 basket, as d old sayin go. Have an alternative plan 2 all u do, because dependance on 1 element, can make dt element into your master. Say NO to all those self- minded GMs or CEOs, when they intend 2 throw their BLOW. Love ya all.

Wake up! and smell the roses! Why in Gods name would you work for a company that does not pay you? How do you get to work? No excuses! Just quit after one month and most unpaying company will shut down. Have you also noticed the rampant attitude of most Nigerian workers "looking for quick payday". If you feel abused then setup your own business. Stop the fear and take a chance for once!
