Wikipedia is a free internet encyclopedia.
This information source is credible enough.
And now, we must return to the thread" What Do You Think of America?

@ Chimaze

I believe you are not being completely honest.

Haba Babyosisi,

Na wa for you o. From your analysis you are saying that 137.2million Nigerians out of 140million will relocate to the US on winning a green card lottery.

Now you know that is a lie. There are millions of Nigerians that has a well established business going for them, so what you are trying to tell me is that they will leave their business and relocate?

I studied in the UK and I can remain here if I choose (HSMP, WORK PERMIT, ETC), but I stated earlier I will be going back to Naija latest June.

I've got a well established family business that will give me more than what any Oyibo man can pay me, above that I will closer to friends, family and my happiness is guaranteed.

I'll state it again, I will not relocate to the US on winning a green card lottery.

4slaps i guess from the woman since they are the stronger fellows.
do to others what you will have them do to you,
there are many ways to kill a cat, you don't always have to stangle it!
there are better, godly and humane ways to treat human beings who hurt us,

Yes chimaze.
I have seen medical doctors with established hospitals relocate in a breeze.
There is something about the US of A that is so attractive.
You are just part of a very tiny minority.
Even those who don't relocate and can afford it send their Iyawo here to have US citizen babies.

It isn't a must that you relocate to America just because u have a Green Card (at least i don't think so)!

I don't see myself relocating to the US or anywhere else even if i win a Green card or not. I've made it a point to travel somewhere every holiday i get. It's a shame most africans haven't embraced the tourist concept, because i firmly believe that travelling enriches you in so many ways.

Why the change of opinion or flip-flopping about the relocating to America if given a green card to? Your prior entry suggested that one may be tempted to.

Someone asked me earlier if I will refuse the American green card or whatever if offered one? I tell you, I do not have anything doing in America - so, yes, I will not count it a big deal if given the American card or citizenship, I am what I am today without being in America? What is the proof that I will be something better if I go to live in America? For me, Nigeria is it - what can you aspire to be in America that someone else has not been?

I still think such an offer would be too good to refuse, anyway good lot in life wherever you are.
As for me, America it is.

Life for me is gretest where I am and have been - no proof that America will make it better. If America is the only place to make it in this world - then there wont be any other country and indeed God would have been partial.

Mixed feelings really, for every man who works hard and makes his dream in America, there are fice or so who have their dreams frustrated, its the only place I know inĀ  the west, where its better to go there as a foreign VBlack than a Black Americanm, thats sad.

I've seen the good places and the worst, the good is good, but the bad is very bad. I find Americans (the ones I have spoken to) for the most part to be a dumbed down people, happy in their ignorance. One thing I will always respect the US for is that people have a very good chance of making it, but it depends on what they are going after. If its money, good, but if its a quality of family life, its maybe not so good, most of the people I know who live in the states, sacrifice their family for material goods, thats something I don't agree with, but its the American way nowadays.

Just like any other country, if you can finance a good life you will have it, but I've seen some of poorest most wretched people in America, especially L.A and NY, all that clitters is not gold.

One thing I know, a Black person is never a first class citizen in America, or England for that matter, no matter your profession or pay packet, thats the truth.
