He is automatic a nigeria, he can apply for a passport, he is not a naturalized nigerian. He does not need to apply for nigeria citizenship. He get it automatic just like you or I. but if he want to travel, he needs a passport. That he as to apply for.

Even if an africa american trace is root to other west african countries. he is allow to live and work in Nigeria without a resident permit.if he carry another west africa passport.  He is covered by an ecowas agreement.  the issue is sometime . Nigeria immigration officer do not know the law. Noone takes the time to read law in Nigeria.

West africa countries are allowed to enter nigeria without a visa. Inside west africa. if i correct they do not require passport, but from out of the ecowas state, they may need one.

I think ecowas should amend its rule to, allow all africa american using USA passport to live in ecowas. I think they should be issue ecowas passport automatic,

You are right. When his paper expired while working for cool fm his stay was "legal",
but when he left cool fm fo inspirational fm that same stay became "illegal".

FCUK cool fm! Dan foster will be back. Wait till to see Erastus bring him back!

erastus the fumbler. . .with all his influence, one would have thought they wouldn't have deported dan foster in the first place

Not sure how justifying the deportation of a person working for a living is something to celebrate?? what exactly are you suffering in Nigeria is it not your country, and if you have been deported from another country in the past it is because you were there illegally or did something illegal. A lot of people job hop ( not always a good career move) but who does not want greener pastures

I could imagine if a Nigerian was in the same shoes in America. The guy wouldn't even be given the opportunity to get a change of clothes from his apartment. Yeah! Dan go and reapply. Shiiit!
This should serve as a deterrent to all other illegal immigrants that think they can come and exploit the good land of Nigeria.

Then i guess the immigration peeps should continue the good job,  there's so much to do. There are so many illegal immigrants on the streets of Lagos, and others in offices who have overstated their permit.  Liberians, Chinese, Indians, Ghanians, Americans? all that should be deported.
Puleez, there's more to this than meets the eye. I smell beef here,
I know he was wrong somewhere along the line,
But you know naija now,  it wont just cross the minds of the immigration peeps to go get Dan, someone or some people most have tipped them- for their own wicked/selfish purposes.

haba haba habaaaa
u guys hold your horses tight ooo.
Dan Foster wasnt deported from Naija ooo
he got his much-deserved vacation allowed by Inspiration FM after working non-stop for 5 years in Cool FM
and his first time in 5 years to leave the shores of Naija also, to see his son
guess most of you dont listen to Inspiration FM much.
he has called in severally from US especially on the Morning Kiss program (from 5:40am to 9am, i think)
i still heard him talk on the station via phone with Oscar (his backup) around 6.30am yesterday and he should be back in 2 weeks.
trust  me, it takes longa than that to "renew your Naija visa".

The truth is if you are climbing the ladders wherever you may be, try to chech for any loop holes. Let us take a trip down memory lane to when the Speaker of the House got in, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, when peole came out with the story of NYSC or not.

You must think everyone in America has a job and you must have assumed wrongly that everyone in America is doing the job they realy want to do, there are loads of Americans who will give up anything to work in the lucrative Nigerian oil sector and many more.

Nigerian immigration don get small power to shine abi?

Instead of showing some appreciation for the work he is doing, those immigration never-do-wells have been bought to make mockery of our immigration laws. Useless people!

It is these same touts that call themselves immigration officials that do business with other touts and offer Nigerian passports to any bidder.

Immigration should deport all those people crossing on foot from Niger republic too.  silly eye-service people.

we have rules. so his deportation is right. he should re-apply and come back sha.

I heard that cool fm was very mad when he left as he has a large followership and a large chunk of thier audience tuned to inspiration.

Its possible that they arranged it sha.

my prediction. he'll be back soon, and a horde of listeners will tune to inspiration in solidarity.

what dont break u, makes u.

well i fear fear o. I think dan foster should have been smarter.

while I will not support any  abuse of our laws (if we have any) by foreigners, I think
the point should be on  equity for all within our borders where everyone is subjected to the same regulation.
A case where our laws are invoked for vindictive acts like this should not be encouraged.

Immigration laws?
1. I wonder if it is the same immigration officers that with 200 naira  will allow you strol into the country thru the borders
   in the country.

2. I wonder if it is the same immigration that allow this illegal lebanese, chinese etc live in this country fraudulently at the
expense of public good. If the story about the owners of cool FM being lebanese is true then I can bet that some of them have questionable papers

3. I will always frown at employers who can not live with the reality that people have their personal goals and are
free pursue them . Let him re-apply . I hope they (cool fm) will not try to frustrate it though . Even in football
the theory of "if u miss the ball dont miss the man is crude"
