How can anyone think Eagle Eye is one of the best movies of 2008? Even Yemi My Lover is better than that piece of crap. That's even an insult to the Best Movies hall of fame. I think Sauron should be banned, he knows nothing about good movies. Angry

Eagle Eye review
Computers have run amok and taken over the world a little too many times for me. And the danged thing is impossible. A robot with intuitive psychology is nowhere in existence in the real world. Just watch I Robot and be done with the rest. Not that it did justice to the incomparable genius of Asimov, but it was good. With Eagle Eye, even though the storyline was tired I was surprised to find I enjoyed this movie a little. Some effects and action sequences aren't bad. And Shia, who never spent a single day in acting class, is a good actor. The movie rode on a weary formula and Studio megabucks of effects, and one needs more from a movie than that. I enjoyed this as one would anything with a coherent storyline. I give it 50%.
Exactly, me too.

Shia's one of the "I inhaled a bag of helium" actors. Him, Efron etc.
Transformers was even better than Eagle Eye, the wise cracks released me from the pain of watching that buttface - Fox.

I saw "The Box" this past weekend starring Cameron Diaz and James Mardsen.

It was not what I expected at all, the trailers do not do it sufficient justice. It was complicated, weird, unsettling, strange, creepy, scary, confusing, captivating, riveting, crazy, freaky, fascinating, emotional . . . infact I don't think I've ever walked away from a movie feeling as strange, creeped out and confused but yet as touched and moved as I was.

I will ponder the moral and ethics of the story for a very very long time to come BUT yet I'm not sure how to rate or classify this movie or if I even 'liked' or enjoyed it Undecided  Huh  confused? yeah me too. Ya'll please do me a favor and go see it and help me get some closure. Jk, we must definitely review this one soon . . .

Please do. Even if you end up feeling weird too, I think the moral of the story is a very powerful one that everyone should contemplate.

I asked a movie-mad friend about The Box and he gave it high ratings. Says the director managed to hold a storyline that might have gotten unwieldly together. He didn't give anything away though. Honestly I must see this movie.

Yeah I've seen it, I mentioned it remember? Law Abiding Citizen. It was a fantastic, promising storyline that unfortunately lost steam in the last quarter.

JK Fox, there's lotsa movies na. There are many on the 'Suggested List' already, with one new addition. I don't recall Day After Tommorow too well. Jake Gyllenhall was in it. Dennis Quaid. Lots of snow. Water and a library. Something decimated the population? Something sha.
