My former employer almost used up the human in me.
The work was so tasking and challenging that I found it difficult to adjust into my new job initially.
My present employer affords me the chance to pursue an MBA and certification in my chosen course of study.
I have quality time to myself and am already thinking of starting something alongside my career.
My employer is happy and I am happy, nobody is complaining!

I agree with you there.
But if you're in a setting where you intend staying to build a career then you need to make the people around you understand what you stand for.
While you're at it, be assertive and command respect.
Carry people along and be sure you know what you're doing.
