hey Niyi,how are you too and hope your exams went well.His 101,ssc 101,ssc 103,phl 101 were good.but there was a little problem with ssc 105.it wasnt even that time wasnt enough but that many of us thought there was nothing like theory cos it was only 1 question.but sha,i know that i will have a testimony concerning ssc 105.About the water problem,they werent always giving us water in moz and whenever they even did,there were always too many buckets at the tap.My worst fear was we going on strike.It wouldnt have been nice at all.But thank God,all that is now in the past.

@nisot23, i am wishing you all the best in your ssc105.i saw the questions and it was quite simple compared to the ssc105 that i did.How many days did you go without taking your bath during the water crises(confess o) Grin Grin Grin Grin ;, welcome to great ife,you always need to nurse fears about going home(thats part of your study in fact it is a course we all have to regsiter ALUTA 101(ALT 101).I am sure you are enjoying home now, dont eat too much oo Grin Grin Grin

Hey guy, are u in faculty of social sciences or admin? You reminded me of when I was doing these courses some seven years ago. You didn't mention SSC 111(Psychology).
Anyway, my advice is to build your GP as early as possible. SSC 101 was the only course I had B in my part 1, and you can do better!
Cheers!!!

@jarus
hmmm big bros, well  its always good to build the CGPA from part 1 but its not easy cos of all the part 1 distractions and the fact that one is just new to the system

great ife students, watz up with u guyz and wat am i hearing of your so called ssc 101, like my room mates use to say that course is 'an s.s 3 maths course' u jst cant compare it wit ma mth 101, which was theory, so you better start confessin your weakness and dont blame it on the examiners.ciao

Master Pongwa,dont take it personal.Am not blaming the examiners mind you.I try never to blame others.And i saw your mth 101 questions.It was theory alright but too simple so keep quiet there. Lips sealed

@nisot23and keji_2008
Moz101  Grin Grin is a course i registered for but i dont always attend classes because the time for the classes(4pm-10pm) always clash with some other things.you guys should upload your profile pics too(all those ones you took in pixels,megatrends and klicks.i am going to change mine now).MOZ101 can run once CGPA down and there are even better courses i can offer like mor 101,alm 101 and spt101(moremi,alumni and sport).
@pongwa
first point of correction ssc101 is not a mathematical course,its a sociology course,what you are probably talking about is ssc105(mathematics for social scientists).you cant compare ssc105 and mth 101 because they are not meant to test the same thing.I would not argue with you cos the problem with most science students is that they think every other person on campus that is not in the sciences is offering an easy course.If you think ssc105 is ss3 maths, simply come and offer it Cool

Pls can u guys give me info abt Direct Entry procedures in Ife, especially in Dept of Accounting.

I heard they dont write post-de exams, so what basis do they use in admitting students, is it based on qualifications, catchment areas or man-know-man? Huh

I'll really like to know b4 i apply, so i dont get stucked. Thanks.

@nisot23
cool pic.You look familiar,i must have seen you around that ANGLO-MOZ car park b4 Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin.i don't attend moz101 classes again cos i discovered that it is inversely proportional to CGPA( it affected me in my first semester).i only pop in moz once in a while to see whats going on.
@pongwa
u r welcome,wasup with u and hope you are having a wonderful holiday.where do u stay in school?

@Pongwa , Keji2008 and ALL
Pls you guys should upload your pics and don't you guys think we need to have an OAU nairalanders meeting when we resume Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin, The location should be NEW BUKA.NISOT23,you need to work on that for us,schedule a meeting and tell us what you would need to schedule this meeting

@worldz
From what i know about OAU direct entry,OAu does not allow direct entry from every polythecnic except some few once like Yabatech,Federalpoly EDE.The admission is based on all the 3 conditions you mentioned.

me?anglo-moz? :)sure i go there but not to commit atrocities.i dont think we should have the meeting in new buka for now maybe later we'd be doing that.

Re: Strictly For Great Ife
« #19 on: April 28, 2009, 11:35 AM »

hmmm not to commit atrocities abi? i only said i saw you,i didnt talk about what you were doing there,why were you quick to defend yourself,its normal for someone staying in moz to be found around Anglo-moz whether doing the right thing or committing atrocities like you said and madam chairman Why cant we have the meeting in new buka,do u have new buka phobia Grin Grin??.

The way you reacted to me saying that i have seen you in Anglo-moz before sounded like keji-2008 reaction too when i told her that she hangs around anglo-moz when she was in part 1.why did u guys go on the defensive, wetin dey happen for that anglo-moz, i must go there when we resume to inspect,  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

D reason is anglo-moz park is known 4 rubbish and am sure u know all that already.so,if u say you've seen me there b4,i must have either been committing atrocities or maybe not.thats why i had to tell you so you dont get me wrong Grin Grin Grin Grin

As Jarus said, Part 1 is the very best time to build your GP, a lot of people are biting their fingers for not heeding that advice.
Someone mentioned distractions. Let me tell you, with each year in Ife, distractions will double. Its easy to say, its not easy and sit back and relax. You will only have yourself to blame.
Goodluck.

@nisot23 and pongwa
i am not in accounting department. Wink Wink Wink, i am waiting for the person that would get my department right, it is ,   Grin Grin Grin and for the convocation everybody would be invited in due course and i also hope we would make NYSCservice this year because their is a lot of backlog

CGPA is easy to build in part 1,the higher the part the tougher it becomes
@spikedcylinder
i guess pharmacy amala worked for you when you were here but that place is damn too far for one to go and eat, just imagine someone like pongwa  going all the way from angola to go and eat breakfast in pharmacy, it is definitely aro of the highest order Grin Grin Grin

yes o
build GP in part 1. i was a 'rocker' in school and i think i blasted my part 1 cos the exams were just too cheap.

but ECN 205 abi na 206 nearly snuffed life outta me.
Games theory Shocked Shocked Shocked
rubbish course

every other course was very ok for me. i loved ecn 102, ssc 102. i think i got 90 in ECN201 also.
then i had issues with ecn 305 too. Dr. Olomola nearly killed me with that course.
i wrote and wrote and wrote and when the results came out, i got 50 C.
chei! it was very painful

my part 4 was like part 1. As plenty and even my thesis
Financial liberalization and stock market devpt in Nigeria. ( i still have a copy cos it was a very good research i did)
