Hey NL, I just need your opinion on this, I am a nurse based in the US, I studied nursing in d US so never had the
naija nurse experience. One of ma friends called me and said "Nurses are flirts, I know u not though (bet he was
trying to make me feel good)".
So tell me, I know am not, I love what I do and probably wont have it any other way (helping people gives me a satisfaction), but is that your opinion of nurses?

that is just pure generalizations. flirting is not attached to any particular profession but on the type of individual.

Well nurses promiscuous? I believe is a general beef anybody can screw anything anytime anywhere but come to think of it nurses are smart which can be mistaken for sexy true they are sexy but promiscuous I will say it is individual thing.

there are promiscous people in every profession, every race, every gender and even sef in every religion. some religions show less promiscuity though (but promiscuity all the same)

well I think I have to disagree a little because if I have to use my very few experiences visit hospitals then I will be right to sya that they are; maybe its because they see the private parts of guys who visits hospitals for treatment o; the last hospital I visit had girls they most men will like to take to bed, maybe it was a delibrate attempts by the management; they were talking about sex not minding the visitors or patient around the reception; I must confess I collected the number of 3 of them and they were willing to come to my house, in fact one of them did but nothing happened becos she was on, so she promised to come another day but I decided not to call anyone of them again because it was too easy and I fear other visitors could have been doing the same to them, even some of my friends who visit the hospital with me had their way with other girls. no disrespect to the profession I know we can find some of them that are not like that but ,

Some Nurses, not all are promiscuous. My Doctor friend has got a handfull of nurses he screw every now and then. He tells me his escapades with them. The last one he screwed had to lie to her Fiancee that she was on night shift whereas she was off duty.

While saying nurses are promiscuous is a crude generalization, there are some profession that make it difficult to sustain a steady relationship e.g. oil servicing, flight crew, showbiz etc.

who be tis man?? looks like u have been attending a real quack hospital. i happen to be in the medical profession - a medical student. trained and qualified nurses are very respected and in no way what you suppose. i am much familiar with what u have stated here. it happens in some private hospitals where the doc hires unprofessional/apprentice nurses to tend patients. all they do is sit around there and gossip. you can hardly find such in a federal or state medical facility. |

This thing happens in evry profession. My cousin is a nurse and she tells me the belief is true because nurses are more exposed to birth control and mayb male genitals. Personally i admire them and wld love 2 marry a nurse cause i love d care her profession offers and the love she has 4 me. This belief is making it difficult 4 me 2 find a virtuous nurse.Wld preferred a doctor, but they seem too busy 4 love.

People should note that when generalizing, it does not mean that the probability of certainty is 1 or complete or 100%. WIth this and my little experience with Nursing students only i will generalize that they are flirts. Note it does not mean all of them oh! Am talking from my experience of 4 nursing schools close to me. They are all the same except 4 the degree awarding nursing school i know which the girls are a little more matured in theiir relationships. Even b4 i saw this thread i already promised myself to stay away from nurses, i dont trust them.

My mum is a nurse nd she's not promiscuous, my aunt is one too, my elder sister is a nurse nd she has a fiance, i have female friends who are nurses nd i know they are not poking around.

lol its funny u mentioned this @ poster. My guy friend and i were just having this same conversation a week ago and he said that he has dated alot of nurses and that they are all freaks, meaning that they are very freaky in bed I was like whoa. I wish he could see this post.

It does not matter what others think, I just was curious (wanted to av an Idea of what is going on in some people's mind when they hear u r a nurse) [ b]As for me I am a NURSE, I am so proud to be one, and need I say more, i know I am a good one. I love helping people, and I derive pleasure in helping family and especially my friends figure out what is going on with them.
