Roles / Responsibilities of Procurement Manager
Responsible for the execution of all Procurement activities
Responsible for the overall organization and control of procurement and stock management personnel on the project. Delegates authority and responsibility to these personnel to ensure that the work is carried out correctly and in a timely manner
In consultation with the Project Director and the Construction Manager, establishes an overall procurement strategy and plan, and ensures implementation
Establishes the General and Special Conditions covering all procurement
Verifies the list of Vendors and presents to Company for approval
Establishes the bidding and negotiations strategy and leads the Team that will prepare the commercial bidding for Expeditors and Vendors
Reviews and recommends Vendor selection and commercial bid analysis sheet for Project Director’s approval and finally for Company approval
Obtains technical information from the QA/QC and Construction Managers for input into services covering Ordering, Inspection and delivery of materials, consumables, etc
Maintains close contact with Company representatives or their third party Inspection division on all matters relating to Procurement and Stock Management.
Prepares monthly periodic start-up and progress reports covering the works carried out by the Procurement and Stock Management section
Qualification
1) B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering
2) 5 years experience
3) Computer Literacy
