Ever since I formatted my PC, I have not been able to recover the Adapter Information. That is, all the Chip Type, DAC Type, Memory Size, Adapter String, and Bios Information. I have downloaded the driver for the Graphics Processor (NVIDIA GeForce and TNT2), but the installation has been unsuccessful. Each time I try installing, I keep getting this message: "The NVIDIA software could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Set up will now exit." Someone should PLEASE tell me what to do, as I cannot play some nice games on this pc anymore. Thanks.

Goto device manager and uninstall the graphcs card. Remove your card from your PC and reinsert it, then rerun the software.

I can't remove the card. It's integrated with the motherboard.

There is a sneaky way to find out exactly what kind of card you have on your system. Boot with a linux live cd and watch the boot-up process as it list your video card driver loaded. Normally, it will display the type of card and driver loaded. You can also do this with any linux cd. The video card driver will be loaded before it gets to partitioning, get the type of card and abort the installation. Hope this helps

Thanks guys for your help. The problem has been solved. Now, my question is, is it possible to upgrade the video memory? Mine is just 16MB and I want to upgrade to like 64MB. Is there any software I can download just to help upgrade, or do I need to get a new video card?

Yep, you need to buy a new video card to upgrade. There is no way to upgrade video card's memory with software. Firmware upgrade might give you a lil better performance but, what you are saying is upgrading the ram/cache size. if there are softwarez to do that i definitely wanna know about it.

Can you please shed more light on the Firmware upgrade?

Goodguy, a firmware upgrade is only a good idea when u are sure u dont mind the consequence of doing it wrongly- ie a dead video card (meaning a dead motherboard in your case). Also firmware upgrades for integrated graphics are not a good idea.
If your vidcard is integrated, getting more video ram may not help you very much, since it is shared memory we're talking about. Youll be able to load bigger textures, but the card will slow down, making games worse. If you want to enjoy your games, consider getting :
1) a motherboard with at least AGP. AGP is important, ask for it. DO NOT use on-board video for games, its a bad idea. 2) an AGP video card with at least T&L (any Geforce or radeon card)
You won't play the latest games, but you will be MUCH better off than what you currently have, which is absolutely unsuited for good gameplay.
You can get the above rather cheap. geforce 2MX go for about 4k or less in ikeja, and an open motherboard with AGP may set you back about 8k depending on your processor. its hard to find a geforce 2 with less than 64megs of video ram if thats what you are looking for.
Good luck!
(if you are an omo-olowo (rich man pickin) or a rich man (big boy) yourself, then what you need is a pci-express (NOT PCI!!!!!) motherboard and a pci-e video card like the geforce 7000 series or radeon x series cards. But you may need to import 'em from outside, )

Thanks! But how much does a 64MB VRAM cost in Ikeja?

if u mean how much does a card with 64mb vram cost, then youl;l have many prices. Like i said earlier, the vram is not a big deal with gfx cards, it is the brand of the card that determinhes the porice. U can get a 64mb geforce4mx for 6-8k thereabouts. geforce2's are cheaper but 64megs arent that common (made a mistake earlier on, gomen)
if you are asking about buying VRAM sepertely, sorry, you can't do that.
