How many terms can a member of the house of rep or senator serve. Is it like the governor who can only serve two terms?

What is good for the goose is not always good for the gander. Democracy in US is as old as the bible, whereas Nigeria is not even born yet. @Blacksta.

You call American system democracy? I call bullshit. Canadians have the best form of democracy in like 8 countries that I've been to.
@ topic, they can serve for as long as they keep getting voted in. However this form is disastrous to the people cause they come with certain ideologies if any at all and those ideologies will fail to evolve for as long as they are in the senate. Situations change and these senates won't cause they are comfortable in the senate and they'll keep supporting same thing. Don't be surprised that the current American liberals will soon become conservatives ideologies and fail to evolve like the republicans.
