Let's learn in another dimension.
Just imagine yourself in an interview panel for a software developer, what and what will you ask as a member of the panel ?.

@Seun, we are not hiring, i just want developers on nairaland to be familiar with the type of questions they might meet when they go for interviews strictly meant for software developers. I suggest that we put our answers too sha.
e.g Question: What can u do for us ? personally, i will answer to display some bit of confidence which is what most organizations cherish in software developers Ans : - I can reduce the amount spent on outsourcing projects by 90%

Its a good scenario, however in reality the position will be more specific. For example is this a position for a web software developer? security software developer? operating system software developer? Game software developer? etc. All these software engineers have completely different skill sets. So to make the question more interesting you should specify the role.

Can you develop an application from scratch and deliver in just 2 days if there is a serious need to do so under minimal supervision if you have 100% down payment?

1) Why do software project fail ?
2)If you were brought on to form a new department, how would you go about it? How many team members ? Why ?
These are loaded questions that'll keep the interviewee talking (if he/she knows their onions)

I guess the answer to this would be yes and no. Depending on the size of the application.

@candylips i did not answer any interview question from @seun or any poster. I started the thread just to see from other people's perspectives and simply for the fun of it .I guess i av more questions for geeks that pass my desk in interview stages. . So please kindly Check the posts very well or take a break with a stick of candy . Seriously, I read a lot of posts without necessarily replying at times. e.g i am flowing with u guys on hibernate and spring. But since for now, there is nothing i felt like saying that has not been posted. So i rather read and learn instead of increasing my post by one (post++) . Happy Coding.

Intelligent interviewers can ask you what is the weather outside like, and get what kind of thinker you are ,
The major things they want to know are:
How often do you really write code ? Can you think out of the box ? Are you self motivated ? Can you work alone ? Can you work well in a team ?
For more advanced members Can you mange a team ? How do you resolve conflicts ? and other soft skills ?
Your answers say a lot, e.g.
Using a lot of "I" did this and that raises question of your lack of team experience and reporting. "We" is okay but statements with "they" questions your commitment , etc.
