JUS nice to hv a place to voice our thoughts wt others, i prefer whinnning abot it though. UBn is drivn by bottomline thas wy it is a really sound bank, really they owe us nothing. but i suppose they r doing there best to be fair. for the meantime, i cnt put my hand in uBn hand or any othr. i hv stoped saying i hv a UBN job. i'm actively trying to build my experience wt asmall outfit in town, looking out for other things out thr & casting my care & trustin God to help find direction 4 my life watevr it is. AS WELL THAT ENDS WELL

but honestly this is unfair, we were actually suppose to resume work this month and want went wrongand where; our colleagues in the first batch have started working already and we are at home trying to play the patient dog after some of us resigned from previous appointment, that was at least paying pur bills, now all we do is sulk at home, this is getting veryy disappointing and i am getting really worried , honestly.

Two months with no pay. I resigned from my last job hoping to start training with UBN in May, though not expecting full salary until June(based on the condition in the offer letter).I have siblings and cousins that depend on my income for their schooling but no income since May. Even if we start training in July, Salary will be in August (i.e., 3 good months without pay).It has not been easy at all. Wish the UBN management will read this and act fast to get us out of this, and if possible, compensate us. Many depend on us for survival, besides; some of us need to meet our daily needs. We are getting frustrated day by day, some companies are aware of this situation and may want to snatch some of the employees, some employees may even leave out of frustration to another company when opportunity knock on their door.

UNION BANK OF NIGERIA is an international company with good reputation, and it won’t be fair to treat their employees like this. PLEASE HELP US OUT

Wait a minute, you mean u actually resigned your last job without a full assurance of the new one?? When will you guys learn that Nigerian Banks are not dependable? All the banks are in serious financial difficulty. They are silently laying off their employees. Bro, i'll advise you to take your old job back if it's possible these banks are not reliable at all.

@fincat;
i dont think resigning a week to your resumption is a big deal when you have gotten your offer letter,so please dont judge us if we resigned, it is just normal for you to resign if you have gotten an appointment letter from your new place, I think this affected most of us in this chat room.
 I resigned the last friday before the resumption sunday, so what do you have to say about that.

Bear in mind that the nigerian banking system will collapse entirely in the near future.
This is because the are running a 'legitimate' elaborate pyramid scheme.

They use peter's money to pay paul and give themselves car\house loans and then expect someone else to deposit money to pay peter.

The banks have no investment or economic standing outside the nigerian borders, they do not really lend money to potential private investors and they dont have any known branded investments.

I see an impending collapse with no refunds. Sad Sad Sad

This is not just bad news ; it's just pure facts.

My friends in the house, it is good to be where we are. People that are complaining about our resignation must be dumb if they fail to do so as we did if they were in our shoes, do not mind them. As for us who did, lets keep the hope alive, the fire burning and continue to shout with oyur mind that it will be well one day,, to them there is an appointed time says the Lord, Nothing do us,  2bad, Smila, continue the good work of keeping the hope alive, till we meet at training school bye
