I seriously dey beg every and anyone who keeps saying that a state has been destroyed so much that it would take a long time to see any changes.
If you run for government, you should have a plan in mind. That plan includes being able to recognise that you are getting into deep shit. I am sure Adams Oshiomole didn't think the condition of EDO state was like Dubai, when he decided to run.
There is a reason everyone is not a Governor. We have elected someone who "claims" he can do the job. There is no excuse. If he realizes that he can not perform, he can resign for a more competent person. It is not a do or die affair.

I don't expect to see miracles in Edo state. I only wish Adams would stop making noise and perform his duties. If he can't get the  house of assembly to pass the budget, he should resign.
Are you guys saying that if they refuse to pass the budget for 2yrs, he should stay as Governor and keep lamenting till they pass it?
There are thousands of Governors that are not performing as well. The only difference is that, they are not in the news everyday.
The reason i have so much beef for Adams is that he used Nigerians. I believe his intention from day one was to run for office. Thats why he used the NLC.
I have no confidence in him whatsover.
If he does perform well in the future,,,, good for the people of EDO state

hmmmm so many ignorant fellows abound. May God safe Nigeria,

Poeple compare Adam with Fashola, forgetting that Fashola found something concrete on ground. He was not even the one that raised the IGR, Tinubu did the job and it took him 8 years. Now a Gov that is less than a ear and found nothing on ground is expected to perform miracle, even when the state Law makers are frustrating his tax policies, O ga o!

broda, work is still going on, the deadline has not yet elapsed ,  new work has started in some parts of the city, the benin moat is also being redug.
roads traders (Ring road) are being evaquated, even, a body has been inagurated to check the occurence of road trading.
the only delay is the construction of 6 lanes for ugbowo road and airport road, which has been delayed to three months time, reason being that julius begger is working on the plan, and also to enable affected houses evacuate before demolition .

nice to know bro, i read in the papers that he has started clearing the road sides, sending those road side traders packing, i mean those blocking the drainage systems, i think they have to start by creating a drainage system which is not even in place before,

i am glad to know work is going on well,  it's nice to know,  i will still make sure i am in touch with my people in benin to know how things are fairing so far.  i will holla back @ you ok???

Sending the road side traders packing without a sustainable plans for market store/business district will not stand the test of time.
Edo state need a developmental ROAD MAP that will inter marriage and give a clear differences between Economy and infrastructure. You cannot send the poor street traders home without a provision for an alternative source,in their small ways they are part of the economic players of the state.Such an action will create more poverty, crime, education and whole lots of issues. The whole purpose of enhancing the state of our infrastructure will be in shame.
Its is clear Oshiomhole is not the rocket scientist to the mirage of problems in Edo state. But he need a practical approach to our issues and not using Lagos as a measure to set a standard for Edo state,Lagos state is the economic hub of Nigeria and he should understand that ECONOMY dictate the way people think in Nigeria.
Lets look at a typical scenario:Why is Oshiomhole and his commissioners focusing on RING ROAD when you cannot get there in the first case. Its takes 30min to drive from Akpakpava/Downson junction to get to ring road as a result of traffic jam(the adjourning links roads are bad).Mission Road/Oba market Road is a hell way to ring road.Oregbeni Market traders are sent packing when there is no for provision of market stores.Oshiomhole has a vision but no plans to actualise his vision.
I just laugh,he promised employment and wanted the Local Government chairmen to contribute 10mil monthly. How on earth will you expect a PDP controled LG to abandon his plans and give you his share of their Federal allocation!!Six months is gone no employment, ridiculous.
Well all hope is not lost,he should through away some of his commissioners/aides and re-energise the team with vision, initiatives and innovative individuals.
Dissolve all the Local government executive because they where illegally elected through an illegal electoral commission and let your administration gets to the grass roots.
I wish you well.

scroll down and you will see that alot of what you are talking about is being put in place, JULIUS BERGER are presently working on a plan to construct roads in Benin,  and as for those selling on DRAINAGE system, they were sent away from there, is there no other place to sell other than the drainage way???

JULIUS BERGER are presently working on a plan to construct roads in Benin,

Julius Berger is only a construction company and not Archaeologists. The problem of Benin is historical and the Binis and the government wants everything to be within Ring Road which is the centre of the Bini heritage(Oba Palace).
Take Rome(ROMA) Italy as an example, you will see that they where able to construct Roads,Houses and still keep the physical structures of the Roman history.
I wish Oshiomhole well.

Saying Whatever does not remove from the fact that you have offered up excuses more than firm facts on this man's capabilities. This reminds me so much of the argument I heard years ago for why Obasanjo was definitely going to do great things for Nigeria, and also excuses I heard for why Yar adua was to be trusted by all. Fast forward years later, Obasanjo turned out a shame and Yar adua, hell. What have I learnt from all that? Simple!! To STOP making excuses for my employees and demand they get to work already instead of making lame excuses. I happen to know this for a fact as I work as a Contractor and I have learnt to make do with what is available to show I am worth the opportunity. I currently work with a company that is having a hard time getting funding. Do you thnk if I sat around blaming them for all, I would still have this job at the end of the week? HELL NO!!! I go out of my way to access free tools to use to at least show that I am capable. I have even gone as far as to taken on the job of cleaning up the department by helping with documentation needs and upgrades just to prove on a daily basis I am the one for this job. Why in the world are we, the employers( in Nigeria) the very ones who continue to shoot ourselves in the foot and then turn around to stone the politicians when they turn around and show us who they really are?

Well, I see you making excuses for why the man can not now be held accountable for the amount of time he has so far logged in as Govenor, and according to the dictionary, that is tantamount to making excuses for him.  If you can prove that has not been your action so far, then fine, but from where I see, it is clear that is what you have done so far.

Well, you are not supposed to be here to satisfy me, neither am I here to satisfy you. I basically stated that all you have done so far is give reason, upon reason why this man should not be told to account for the days he has spent as governor so far( almost six whole months, HALF A YEAR collecting salary). Those are excuses and nothing more. If I could match down to the governor's office today, I would, regardless of how you many more excuses you would want to rain down on my person.
