You know, I know how to play the WORD game too! In fact, I play it so well that it is hard to pin anything on me on here. lol . But dude, do not try to play the player. You have consistently attacked every post on here demanding the man do something already. 6 months in office and you came up with the "Bugdet had not been passed in all that time" excuse and so many others. Even when asked about what he has been doing in the 6 months, you went on to tell us stories of how Igbinedion is to blame for all the problems, even though he has been gone 6 months now.  What will you call that if not excuses and more loads of excuses??

Why? Because you suddenly want to shift the focus from you providing more factual rebuttles than excuses which is what you have offered so far? Nah!! I am not a child to indulge you. I think the past couple of pages of responses already show me exactly what you believe you are good at, only at the end, the conversation is still same. Provide a solid counter argument instead of all the rolls of excuses you have been trying to feed us instead.

Well, laugh all you want. It is good to laugh.  I just have a question for you. Does this then mean you want to assume your excuses have suddenly been proven facts or something? I don't get it!! Does laughing help turn the conversation away from the real issue or something?

I am not the guy, I can not bring him hear to answer your questions as he has made it clear that he is sick and tired of Nigerian kiss a**es out there.  Grin  On another note, I fail to see what the man's take on the situation down there has to do with the subject at hand. You have gone on and on to tell us of how for 6 months, Oshiomole's hands has been supposedly tied because the budget had not been passed since then, quickly blaming all on Igbinedion. Then the same you turns around to claim there is development work being done in all that time and then you attribute it all the same "lame duck" governor. How do you explain this? Or should I just take it that you are just here to attack those with a differing view without necessarily feeling the need to justify your posts and claims in any way?

Biography of Oba Erediauwa: EDSG sets up committee

BENIN CITY – A seven-member committee made up of university eggheads has been set up by the State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism to chronicle developments so far recorded during the reign of the Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa.

Inaugurating the Committee, the Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Akhere said the government of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole decided to sponsor the writing of the Biography of the Benin Monarch because his reign has witnessed peace and progress in the past 30 years.

He noted that Oba Erediauwa has also brought unity among Edo people, adding that his achievements as the custodian of African Culture are even acknowledge beyond the continent and therefore deserve to be recorded now for future historians.

Commissioner Akhere therefore urged members of the committee to take their assignment seriously as the book will be launched during the 2009 Ugie (Igue Festival).

Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Ononeme Efemena of the Department of Fine Arts, UNIBEN thanked the Commissioner for finding them worthy for the historic assignment and pledged that they would not fail the state government.

The Hon. Commissioner also set up a sub-committee to find legal solution to the continuous refusal by Britain, Germany, France and America to return art works taken away from Edo State during and after the colonial period.

The sub-committee headed by Barrister, I.O.Olumese of the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law UNIBEN has the Commissioner, Barrister Vincent Akhere and the Attorney-General of the State as members.

The main committee is made up of:

(i) Dr. Ononeme Efemena - Chairman.

Gov. Oshiomhole's Aide Resigns       PDF        Print        E-mail

Adams Oshiomhole
The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the governor of Edo State resigned this afternoon. His resignation is to take immediate effect.

Eric Osagie, a prominent media practitioner is the second high profile appointee of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to resign. Kassim Afegbua, who was spokesman for former military president, Ibrahim Babangida was the chief press secretary to the Edo State governor. He resigned unexpectedly a few weeks ago.

Osagie’s resignation which took the Edo State Government House and Benin City by surprise was also high on drama. According to Edo Government House sources, Osagie handed his resignation letter to the Secretary to Edo State Government. Soon after that, rumors started making the rounds that he had been sacked by the governor. Osagie had to address a hurriedly convened press conference at the Press Center to announce his resignation.

The former aide to Adams Oshiomhole reportedly told people at the Press Center that his job was to advice the governor and since it became obvious to him that the governor no longer needed his advice he had no choice but to resign.

Kassim Afegbua was forced to issue a statement when the Edo State government agents started passing information to the media that he was sacked.

Several sources who spoke to this reporter from Benin this night opined that many more resignations are on the way. They suggested that Oshiomhole’s style of leadership made it “almost impossible for any self respecting individual to work under him.” One source said that at Gov. Oshiomhole’s meetings nobody but the governor speaks. “The man will convene a meeting, come with the agenda and address all the issues without calling for contributions. Where have you seen that kind of thing happen? For four hours this man will be talking and we’ll be listening to him. He is the only wise man in Edo State… then he should run his government alone!”

Gov. Adams Oshiomhole arrived Nigeria this evening from a trip to Malaysia.
