@ Queenzy: Oh sorry!! How have I hit on it that your birthday was on the 24th December?? Oh, I think I watched your profile, read the date 24 th Dec., but didn't look at the left where stands "local time". That shows that it is better to look more precisely..

Hmm, perhaps you could send me the music files, too?? Otherwise I hope my friend can get me the albums.
@ Hot-Angel: It is not just you who thinks that Peter looks like Usher. Well, as I am German I didn't know P-Square before my visit to Nigeria from 19 th till 29 th November. And when I saw them at my first day in Lagos at a concert - I don't know what location it was, but there were some Nigerian musicians just as Rugged Man... and I think it was shown on TV, but I don't know - well, then I also thought "This guy looks like Usher.." And when I saw a poster of him I really thought it WAS Usher but them I read "P-Square Peter" at the bottom of the picture.....
Well, you want to know something about my visit....
I arrived in Lagos on Saturday, 19 th November at around 8:30 PM, oh my god, my flight was nearly 4 hours in delay... My friend took me from the airport and we went to the concert I have already mentioned. And as you can imagine I was the only white person there. So I attracted a lot of attention... When my friend, her sister and I wanted to go up the stairs in that big house, a camera team stopped us and they wanted me to tell something about me... Unfortunately, I don't know if this was sent on TV. Then we were in the hall where the music was. I really liked the music, I would like to have it all on CD, but I can't remember all the names of the singers. Well, when I hear music like this, I have to dance, I am not able to stand still. We were backstage, when suddenly someone came to me and said something like: "Hey Girl, where do you come from?... Well, I saw you dancing. ... Would you do me a favour?" Me: "Which favour?" He: "I am going to perform in some minutes, would you please come onto the stage then and dance while I m performing??" Well, I had not known him before, but it was Rugged Man!!!!!! Hmm, so I danced on the stage, and the crowd was excited and screaming...! Well, the whole concert was recorded with cameras, I wish so intensively that I could get the video...

And I would like to know if it was shown on TV.
The next evening we were at a party with some people who have something to do with the Nigerian movie industry, for example Jeta Amata, Aquila Njamah... Do you know them? And I met Zule-Zoo there, probably you know them. After that we went to eat something and to do karaoke. I am crazy for this!!
Well, I haven't done many different things the next days. The problem was that my friend was too busy to show me more of the country. So I always was in Lagos. I spent nearly all the time with the sisters of my friend and some dancers who were practising on a choreography for my friend's movie. As I metioned I like dancing so I came with them to the rehearsal room and took part in some steps of the dance.
On Friday, 25 th Nov., some of the dancing and singing scenes were recorded for the film. I didn't take part in it. So I had nothing to do the whole day...
Saturday was nice. My friend's sister took me to the wedding of her friend. We were late, so I didn't see the real wedding, we came into the church when it was nearly over...

After that they took photos in front of the church. Well, and as always and everywhere during my stay (except from the airport) I was the only white person far and wide. And so many people wanted that someone takes a picture of them and me together..

That was funny... I don't know the bride but I am on these photos now......
You won't believe but on Sunday I was at a discotheque with Rugged Man. I think it was called "You can do it all". Well, I started dancing when we arrived and I stopped when we left. And so many people were impressed. It is not a rumour that most of the Germans can't dance very good, most of the Germans are sort of stiff, the aren't as free in moving their bodies as black people. But there are exceptions. ... Some said to me. "You don't dance like a white woman!!!" I hope they will think of this evening as long as I do...!
Hmm, what did I do on Monday?? Hmmm...

I can't remember. Certainly it was nothing special...
Then the last day...

Well, I packed my cases... Collected the contact details of some of the people... My flight was at 11:40 pm. Before we went to the airport I met Peter and Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They gave me their new album.......
Then we went to the airport, and you can't imagine how much I cried!!!!
Well, to draw a summary of my expressions: Hmm... I have to confess that I was shocked by the streets and the cars in Lagos. This is not a secret. I'm used to other streets, cars.... And the city is so dirty and loud...
But I really want to underline that I am happy to have visited Nigeria. I have made the impression that everyone was so very nice to me, everyone liked me, they were so interested in how I was feeling. I really miss them all!!!! It was a pity that my friend was that busy with her movie and that I just was in Lagos. Before, she said she would show me Abuja and so on ............ Well, now there is definitely a reason to come back when she has time for me!!! I really want to see the people again and more of the country!!! I hope I will come next year.....
I will inform you then!!!
Hope you have a nice christmas!!!
