See the way you are ranting up there like the minister took the position that rightly belonged to your mother.

It was the site that made obama not to visit Nigeria.  I dont know that idiots still exist.

u are so uncivilized to involve my mother in this discussion. It shows how immature u are. are u sure u are old enough to discuss this site? I wont be surprise if u were involved in the design of that site. U better go to school and re-learn, baby!

for a site that reads "nigeria re-branding", that site does'nt cut it AT ALL. and am really suprised at SAM MILLA'S comments (except you designed the site). what's there to credit. a site comming from a whole "Ministry of Information and Communications, Nigeria" if na play stop am abeg. the site is crap and deserves no credits. if people like that were always told "hey good work" all the time, i wonder if we'll ever move foward. this is a forum for crying out loud and people cant say whatever they like. (except talking about other people's mother's which i find very annoying). if u like the site fine. lets know u like it. nobody's going to crusify u for that.

thank you NEPTUNE,  Your logo alone shows u gat taste for good things and i like it. If we have people like u in government i dnt think that kind of crap would be posted on line and linked to our great nation! I'm also a web developer and even my first project didnt look like that. Sam Milla is just a disgrace to this forum. he should be on Facebook discussing with high school pupils,  talking chocolate and chewing gums,

For goodness sake, where are your senses of understanding things.
i said he was ranting as if the minister took the job that belonged to his mother, does that mean the job belonged to his mother, I was only trying to make him understand that he shouldn't have attacked the minister in the first place.

Quote from: ddonobi on May 22, 2009, 11:49 AM
It shows that Dora akunyili has no excellence in her work.
She cant even differenciate what a professional website looks like.
This country needs prayer! can u imagine the kind of minster of information we have,

Now check what he said about our minister and he was angry for referencing to his mother here.
What do u have to say? uuh, And you accused me of designing the website.
Check my posts here, i never said the website was good. I only said that we should give him a little credit before condemning him. Or is this a case of "I should have been the one to design it"
Did you make any attempt to contact the developer(s), Either to offer advice or otherwise.

I believe you dont see what he said about me up there. This is a forum for real, but i guess you dont know that the owner dont tolerate this kind of posts we are making here at the moment.

You cant write differentiate, Professional and minister correctly, and you are condemning a minister.

What credit? That site looks like something from 1998. I mean come on!!! Nigerian designers need to wake up and get their acts together. Majority of you all SUCK BIG TIME!!! Ugh!!! And please, those that still use templates should not even talk at all. Imagine a company hiring you as a professional web designer to rebrand the company and all you can offer are Template tweaks that even a six year old can do, are you kidding me?

You ask a Nigerian web designer for his portfolio and you get tons of sites all built using one template or the other. Why in the world would I hire or commend such for originality when there is next to none? lol

Now , I know many of your designers who know your work can not even come close will try to attack me and I understand that same way I understand how someone would fight me in the year 2009 for not thinking VIPit toilets are commendable. lol So please, keep your gworo chewing mouths shut and focus on IMPROVING YOUR DESIGN SKILLS!!!

You type the word NIgeria and most 99% of the sites, even those that belong to companies, are not inviting.

« #22 on: May 22, 2009, 09:16 PM »

@kobo,

Atleast you made your point without attacking me. That makes you more matured than the boy up there pointing fingers at me as if i designed the site. I am not a designer. I have designed some pages but they are for my personal use. I use a pre-made template on my webiste, i just made some custome pages and added it.
So you will never hear me condemning a designer. Nah. I do a different kind of work.
Like i said earlier, i didnt say that the site was good nor bad.
It might not be the best but the way to go is not to condemn it outright.
I harldy do such things. There is always a better way to approach issues like that.
Atleast thats what i believe.

Thanks Webdezi,

I Believe he blows his trumpet because of the flash  images on the cotekit thing.
He now thinks he is a world class designer. lol.
Anyway i am not interested in discussing him because ,
I am pretty sure he is not anywhere near me.

I have done that kind of thing for people for free.

I can only advice him to learn how to value other people's work.
