Please, let's not politicize this thread. The governor in Edo has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that was unanimously voted by Edo indigenes. I'm sure there's a plan somewhere. Though for now, I see nothing.

My main worry is the level of social life in Benin City.
We can't keep waiting for Lagosians to arrange events and the like to make money off us.
Back in the day, when international artiste came to Naija it was Lagos, Abuja, Benin and maybe Owerri. Now It's Lagos and Abuja. So we leave to these places just to try to belong.
Edo people, we need to chart our own course O!

I guess I posted on this page earlier with my dnex ID.
Anyway, I schooled in UNIBEN, was born in Kano, and now I'm moving permanently to Benin from Lagos. I'm from Owan East Local Government Area, Warrake.
This thread seems a bit small to represent Edos on Nairaland because I certainly know a lot of my fellow Edo indigenes who use Nairaland yet have not come on this thread to represent.
There are several Edo groups on Facebook and I'm a member of a couple of them though I opened none. My favorite is Edo Facebook Party 2009ice. I hope we get to party it out till the Oba comes screaming.
Hmmm, did I miss out anything? Well, so far, I'm not impressed with the works which the governor has embarked on in the state.
O God! Really, I know am forgetting something but I can't tell what it is. I'll come back on the thread and chip in a little something if I recall.
