 in our school
dont let the evil birds perk it from our mind

Of course, the intention was fun. That cannot be the anthem of a school. Even the school, IYANFOWOROGI HIGH SCHOOL, is imaginary as far as I know, until Spiked said there was a school actually by that name.

Dunno if my University has an anthem but my secondary school sure did.

Queen's College, Yaba

Pass on the torch still brightly gleaming
Pass on the hopes the earnest dreaming
to those who follow close at hand.
Pass on the torch the skills the learning,
pass on the secrets  , (uh, used to mumble this part)
that they may build where we have planned.

There a second verse but hey who's really goin to read that huh?

"Pass on the Torch" was written by Miss Dorothy Peel and music composed by Mr. Woodham.

1.
Pass on the torch still brightly gleaming,
Pass on the hopes, the earnest dreaming
To those who follow close at hand.
Pass on the thoughts, the skills, the learning;
Pass on the secret in most yearning
That they may build where we have planned.

2.
Pass on the songs, pass on the laughter,
Pass on the joy that others after
May tread more lightly on their way.
Pass on the faith that naught can alter,
Pass on the strength lest they should falter
In hours of stress some future day.

3.
Pass on the firm determination
To guide a later generation
By gentle influence in the home.
Pass on the health, the youthful vigour,
Pass on the love that can transfigure,
The darkest hours that yet may come.

4.
Pass on the torch, the cry inspring
Unites us here in hopes untiring,
In bonds no future years can sever.
We forward press not backward turning;
That this our torch more brightly burning
May yet pass on and on forever.

Its a Classic Song.
Up live Queen's College Yaba, I am proud to be an old girl.

Dont think My University has an Anthem but i know that of my secondary school,

The GREAT MAYFLOWER SENIOR SCHOOL IKENNE,  The Anthem Goes Thus,

Knowledge is Light
And so the sages say
Forever twill be the light
To guide humanity
Knowledge is light
As ignorance is darkness
And therefore, mayflowers,
Equip yourself with armour of Light
For our mission to the world
Is to bear the touch aloft
And cry with all our hearts,
That knowledge is light (3times)

I love that scchoo,

Same anthem for FGC Kaduna. Just replace Bakori with Kaduna. Can't remember 2nd verse though or maybe I never knew it.

Now FGGC Bakori, Kazaure and Gusau. Plus FGC Sokoto, Azare and Kano babes. Loved going to those schools for one thing or the other. Going back home for hols by train with all those schools must have been my best times at school. Gosh, those were the dayz.
