                                  FGGC somewhere

The guns of battle were all silent

The smoke of destruction blown away

The lips of  war were sealed and

                                 the scarring almost healed

when our school  was born to herald a new day

Nigeria we all make thee a promise

to serve thee with strength of might and grace

to build and not break down

                                 bury quarells in the ground

so that those who died may not have gone in vain

@ seyibrown
Thanks for representing, I finished from Mate in 1991. That anthem sure brings back some nostalgic feelings. I fondly remember OUR own Rev. Adenugba (warmly loved) and Rev. Mrs. Adenugba- great couple they were.

FGC Odogbolu
Stanza 1
Great Fedgocol I thee revere
My ever dearest alma mater
Prepare me with they tenderest care
A seedling nursed
A blossom fair
Instil in me thy wisdom true
To tread on earth with love in view
Uphold the cause of Brotherhood In honor bound, be true and good EH!

On that glorious day when indeed I leave for life's great sea
Great Fedgo Fedgocol with pride and awe
I vow to rever and thee adore

I think we found a way to insert a refrain of Ayila at the end of each line .

dunno if unilag has, kings' college-

School Song
1."Floreat Collegium" shall our motto be
Let us shout it boldly for her sons are we
Nurtured in her classrooms in our early youth
Where we learn to cherish chilvary and truth
Learn to pulll together each one with the rest
Playing up and striving each to do his best

Chorus
This shall be our watchword, "Always play the game"
Sound the old school's praises, trumpet forth her fame
Though of many nations we will not forget
That we all are brothers with a common debt
Let us pay it by giving, as we forge ahead,
Service to our living. Honour to our dead.

2.) This is what the teach in the good old school
"Only by obedience may you learn to rule".
If you fail look closely, seek the reason why
You are power to conquer if you only try
Other went before you and attained the light
Where they wait to cheer you, victors in the fight.

3.) Present, Past and Future from one mighty whole
Shining forth emblazoned on one muster roll.
When the call is sounded all must answer "HERE".
Voice and bearing showing neither shame nor fear
Pointing to our honour which untarnished stands
Bright as when we took it from our founder's hands.

Same anthem for FGC Kaduna. Just replace Bakori with Kaduna. Can't remember 2nd verse though or maybe I never knew it.

Now FGGC Bakori, Kazaure and Gusau. Plus FGC Sokoto, Azare and Kano babes. Loved going to those schools for one thing or the other. Going back home for hols by train with all those schools must have been my best times at school. Gosh, those were the dayz.

Oh gosh! An FGCK guy!!! Kiss Kiss

I remember how how little girls' hearts used to go all a-flutter at the mere thought of FGCK amd NMS guys!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Never took the train or the bus (lived in KD) but wished I had coz those girls used to have the BEST GIST!!

Incidentally, my Bros went to FGCK.

Who knows the the Anthem for Command Children School, Kaduna?

All I remember is

Command School,
Command School
Dankutu Road
We are always #1,
Always the best
You better come
Come quickly
Come and enter Command school

. . . or sum'n like that Tongue
