It is like saying I want to learn to design and build BMW cars and want to work with Mercedes Benz. Although both companies manufacture cars but there are subtle differences involved in their design and built.
Cisco is a different company that manufactures both Cisco operating System and Cisco hardware. Microsoft is a company that manufactures both Microsoft operating system and Microsoft hardware.
Cisco professionals are WAN engineers while Microsoft professionals are LAN at most MAN engineers. Both of these careers are different pathways. You would NEVER be expected to know Microsoft components while you are a Cisco engineer and vice versa.
Most of Cisco engineers are field engineers. Cisco is harder. You can not easily download Cisco operating system and play with it. The hardware is very expensive to buy. You need to understand the very basic low level of computer hardware to understand Cisco courses. Cisco engineers commands more money to Microsoft.
Microsoft course at most will be dealing with servers and desktop operating system with little or no router configuration. You will be learning email server like Exchange, outlook and DSN server and lookup etc.
So my own advice would be to consider your position and learning, financial ability and make a choice the pathway you would want to go. I will say go through Microsoft as it is easy and cheap compare to Cisco. When you start working and earning money you can train as a Cisco engineer.
Apart from part 1 of Cisco's course the rest id heavy practical. You would be expected to learn how to boot and configure a Cisco operating system and learn at most 20% of the command line, because Cisco do not have user interface like Windows. Then you would be expected to learn how to communicate with a distant router in a different geographical zone, etc.

Well very good of you Subcareer you know your tips are very good to people that is giving out their mail add to someone that'll submit their add to mailing list because have not seen anybody dropped by 2 say thanks for the precious handon. why mailing them when you can always put the stuffs in your thread for others that are seeking 2 benefit from your so called tutorial. Check this guy in question profile and you'll see that he is not even a regular in the computer section so what has he got 2 offer let him go 2 the romance, religion etc so you see what i mean.  |

I have not replied anybody forum question to their personal email(s). I always put their thread message replies to the forum for others to use or make reference of.
Although some members send me personal email(s) without putting it up in the forum, I always reply them, to ask the question in forum thread and I will reply.
