Please can you share how you celebrated that big day or how you plan to celebrate it.
Would you prefer a quiet romantic evening and where  ?
Or a party with friends , relatives and wellwishers?

I know someone may ask me how I celebrated mine.
I'll be very honest here.
We went to an Isiewu joint and that was just fine with me. lipsrsealed
2 bowls of delicious Isiewu for us and 4 bottles of Maltina. lipsrsealed

We went to NY to visit my parents where he asked my Dad first.

Then we went to dinner as a family and had a few bottles of wine and back to my parents house for more wine.

Well that's why an intimate dinner with close friends would be suffice. One girl at my work place did her engagement party recently in a MASSIVE way. Thought it was uttterly pointless, that money could have gone towards the actual wedding. undecided

I think it depends on what an "engagement" means to you. For me its almost as good as marriage except we are still not living together and i must have done a thorough homework before deciding to give her a ring. Once its done there's not going back.

You could say the same for marriages. Why have a wedding at all if at the end you're going to divorce anyway? These are not commitments that you shld be thinking about it not working out in the long run. Work at it.
