Eggs have long been a source of controversy -- suffice to say that egg yolks are richer in cholesterol than egg whites, and should be consumed in moderation, whereas egg whites contain little or no substances suspected of causing obesity or heart disease.
Egg is highly protenous no doubt but u don't need cholestrol as an adult. Dont take more than 2 eggs a week. Better still substitute with fishes (especially predator fishes...up the food chain).

Based on what you've said, Layi, if I want to eat eggs for protein - and avoid cholesterol - all i need to do is boil the egg and throw away the yolk, which also happens to be the most delicious part?  That's as good as saying I should not eat eggs anymore, but instead eat fish!  (this is ok - I love fish anyway)

Yes Seun. Albumen (egg white) is almost 100% protein because albumin is an amino acid.

Good you said boil not fry because groudnut oil has got cholesterol. Too much cholesterol leads to arteriosclerosis- blockage/constriction of the vessicles.a leadin cause of heart attack (most common among the obese).

Fish is good. if you can get the topmost fish predators like Sharks..fine. The higher it is up the aquatic food chain..the more proteinous. Cat fish is especially good for a radiant skin. - Dont u like the skin of the catfish?  Wink

I think Layi has summarized it all.
I will suggest you take two eggs per week without yolks of course.

dangers of this yolk is the cholesterole it contains, which when blocks
the lumen of the arteries, consolidates and hardening or thickining the walls of the
arteries.
And blood flows sluggishly into the heart, and in an attempt for the
heart to meet the demands of body's nutrients and oxygen, causes it (heart)
to pump more and overworks the heart.
Which is not good at all for the health.

2 eggs per week? Shocked Shocked That means if you buy a crate, the rest will get spoilt before you come round to eat them.

Keep them in a good refridgerator. Eggs get spoilt @ warm temperatures. But really a crate thats like 30...ah it will spoil o. But If you eat only the egg white..you can finish the crate in a week

Try gainin muscle mass instead of fats. Work out.
Some herbs can help reduce your metabolism but as a guy what u need is muscles not fats.
But if u insist...then try eating at intervals of 4hrs. Its the number of times rather that the bulk u eat that matters. Also eat into d night. You hav the slowest metabolism then.

But like i said the easiest way for a hardgainer like u to gain weight is to eat like a monster and workout like arnold. What u eat actually matters because 1 pot of rice wont give u as much calories as 1 liter of icecream.

10-100 eggs a week aint harmful as long as u don't eat the yolks.

But 'BABA" is preaching one egg per day.
What about poultry farmers? Can they consume their eggs all alone?
Let us eat as much as we can afford because no one knows 2mrw. Grin
