Get a doctorate while you have the chance. I am going to be as young as you too and that is what i am doing.

you're 'going to be as young as she too'? Have u discovered the fountain of youth or what?

seriously sha, there's nothing wrong with graduating young, i graduated at 21 and thats after going through almost 2 years of strike in a nigerian uni, reading a 5 year course. naturally my 2.1 was in da bank Cheesy.
anyway, it's more of a plus when u finish young. companies go for you like crazy, cosit means more years of commitment to them. no one wants to hire an old geezer for keeps

london isn't d shiznit, that country sucks as hell.i will get paid very well once i qualify but my stress level will go through d roof, i have lived in a lot of places and trust me, there is no place like home.

actually, d topic of d thread wasn't about being young to graduate.( i guess d moderators re-worded it), i just wanted to know good companies in naija and how to go about applying,

Am into accountancy and I believe ACCA is far more relevant to my career than masters or MBA, however am still going to do them

thanks everyone for your contribution, i appreciate it Wink

@ silsane,

You sound like somebody that don't give 2  f, ks about  nigeria. What do mean by NYSC don't have website. don't u know intending Corpers check their Posting onlin?e. i,m sure u are one the people telling those freaky white people hw stupid we are, and all about things not working in Nigeria. please ask questions before u jump into conclusion. Make  real Nigeria friends, and read newspaper online, it will help u. And don't have bias friends around those that tell u hw messed up Nigeria can be, but friends that will encourage, and tell u hw things work in Nigeria.  abi, y dey bother us say u dey graduate @ 20. mi i gradute @ 19 and i know tell everybody from Nigeria unisef. and i dey work for ,  for real people. Hey! A lot of people wish they had finsihed as early as you are finishing. If I were you, I would go on and strike for a Masters and Phd. Maybe, you can create a record of being one of the youngest to bag a Phd in Nigeria if not in the entire globe. Go for it man! Wish you all the best.

I feel like playing devil's advocate here. Is it possible for one to get a job legitimately in Nigeria at the age of 20?

Let's do the maths
Smiley
20 - plum job
19 - corper shun (nysc)
18 - 400 level (no strike, private uni; 4-yr course)
17 - 300 level
16 - 200 level
15 - 100 level
(UME was smooth sailing Wink)
14 - SS3
13 - SS2
12 - SS1
11 - JS3
10 - JS2
9 -   JS1
(ok, let's forget PR6. I didn't need that myself)
8 - PRI 5
7 - PRI 4
6 - PRI 3
5 - PRI 2
4 - PRI 1
3 - nursery 2
2 - nursery 1 (on top of mama's breast Grin)

Abeg, where Ribadu dey?

Seems alot of people do masters and phd for the wrong reasons!

do a masters, get your MBA get a Phd get a doctorate

all degree no work experience

i wonder why they made it irrelevant to have experience before doing a masters nowadays  Angry chasing after money aint good.

Abi o, everyone keeps going on about how "you have to work hard to make money in the UK" , erm isnt that what you are supposed to do? WORK HARD!

going to nigeria can be considered to be an easier option, the competition for job is high in the UK and even in Nigeria but the fact that you are going with an "international degree" you will get a job quicker, you'll stay with mommy and daddy so you don't pay rent/tax hence you have more money to splash around and oppress   Tongue

stay and slug it out on a level playing field  Grin

@Rhea what kind of maths is that? Let me do mine for you.
Age 2------Nusery 1
Age 3------Nusery 2
Age 4-----Primary 1
Age 5-----Primary 2
Age 6----Primary 3
Age 7----Primary 4
Age 8---Primary 5
Age 9---Jss1
   I
   I
Age 15—SS3
Age 16----Jamb lesson
Age 17-20---University
Age 20------Start Nysc
Now imagine I dint hv 2 stay at home 4a year to re write jamb. I’d have been done with NYSC at 20. so its very possible. Go back and learn arithmetic

Here is a website that can help you move back to nigeria, they seem legitimate. Hope this helps, good luck girl, I have the same aspirations as you do but my course is longer and I have many plans that need me to get some cash under my belt also! Think you wanting to return is great - remember keep yo8ur eyes and mind open!
