i think they've got a decent squad in players like casillas, fernando torres, reyes, fabrigas, iniesta, xavi, salgado, puyol, etc.
perhaps is a good thing no one is singing their praises now, when they were favorites, much touted to win it, they crashed out in the first round.
perhaps this time, the story will be different.
i will support them after england.

What really amazes me about people posting comment, who is going to win is th fact you don't judge the team by there skills or players. if example England have the best team in the world, you must post a comment why you think they will win. seems to me many post cause are iether angry or insecure.let me say this.i guarantee Brazil will not win the world cup.any bets with me sure. ill take them.

As for who will win,and its not about being from England,i totally believe England will take the cup this year. i have to judge on playing porformance,not just cause im from the uk, id be silly to pout £50 on England if i didnt think they would win.

another dark horse for me to win is sweeden,these have a good chance.

  hahaha, none of you know anything about soccer.  except the guy who said Rio is playing over a better suited carragher because of his fame.  otherwise, fools.  england has got by far the best squad in the world.  the reason they will lose is because of the defensive center midfield position.  frank lampard is garbage, by far the most over rated player in the world.  all of his goals are deflections, do you watch?  however, he scores a shit ton of goals for the premeirship champions.  steven gerrard, probably (no joke) the best player in the world*, plays the exact same position as fat frank.  offensive center mid.  however, because fat frank can not play defense to save himself, steven gerrard gets dumped in DCM, and can't be used to his full potential.  if makalele played for england, they'd win hands down every time.  however, they wont this time.   

the team that won't win-- BRAZIL.  they are the most over rated team in the world.  how can they win?!  are you joking?  roberto carlos starts?  RIDICULOUS!  ronaldo over robinho?   laughable.  ronaldo peaked at the LAST world cup and is just garbage now in international.  He got owned by arsenal's defense sooo bad in the CL game.  Kaka is amazing.  stunning.  adriano too.  ronaldinho is a great player, but couldnt play defense to save his life, which is why he's not the greatest midfielder in the world.  and he's not a striker either.  i understand he doesnt have to play D, but you cant be the best if you're lacking a huge part of your game.

and who the hell said wayne rooney was over rated?!  are you joking?  i watched him week in and week out for 3 seasons now, he's amazing.  and nearly half ronaldo's age.  if only he werent hurt.

this will be the most open ended world cup to date, because the giants can't do it.  it wont be the czechs.  do you know who smicer is?  no?  then they wont fuckin win.  holland and argentina have great chances.  mexico will do well.  france and germany will do well. this seems like germany's year to win: homefield advantage, and weak opposition.

* steven gerrard is the best player because he could literally play any position for england (and has), leads teams like no other captain or player in the world (champions league), pulls moves (and he's english so it's a big deal) in the hardest defensive league in the world, plays great long balls, and has the greatest strike in the world bar none.
