Brazil, my husband's team, to win for sure. I want Ivory Coast to go far because of my 2nd husband. I'm surprised that many people are not mentioning Germany. You think they will host it just for fun? They stand a good chance of winning I think.

@ IAH Germany did not play so convincingly yesterday against Cost Rica. Equador on the other hand stuffed Poland good and proper! GO ENGLAND!

Yeah, their defence is weak. Nevertheless, I still won't rule them out. They are at home, you know. As for England, I better not say my mind.

for y'all who's been following this thread. my keystone revealed england in the finals but with an exception, that they might cause themselves a downfall. you all could see that in england's lone goal victory, they played but not to expectation
as far as i'm concerned, the most impressive team so far is Trinidad and Tobago - they gave sweden a tough one.
the african elephants gave a good play - drogba was fantastic but there is room for improvement on their side.
kuffour shouldn't be the one to let ghana down in a competition this improtant!
o'bravo's two goals for mexico were fantastic!
if only usa proved their stance against czech.
lets all keep watching this fantastic tournament and how the mighty falls!
trinidad n tobago win my support all the way!

Otolorin, Kuffor's mistake could be made by anybody. The guy was under serious pressure from the italian guy and I believe it was a miscue. Do you all think Ghana has a chance against Jan Koller and Co.?

Has to Brazil based simply on the overwhelmingly extravagant skills available, but anything can happen. My top 4 are Brazil, Italy, Czech, Spain.
No Ghana can't survive. I don't think, not if they can't shoot straight.

hey u reverend
this is just the first match for all these african countries in question, so you just zip 'em lips n watch, 2 more group stage matches to go
and to england you wont be unfair to yourself by shying awa y from the fact that they should bury thir head in shame for such a play put up in dat match they played

@ Otolorin
England always starts slowly in the World Cup and we secured our three points which is the main thing :-)
No African nation has yet won a game. I am now watching Togo playing Korea and I still beleive that this record will remain unchanged in 65 minutes time!
EDIT 1: OK. Togo have Just scored. It was a nice goal, Lets see :-)
EDIT 2: Ok. Korea are now winning 2:1

i'v been watchin this conversation and had to wait for brazil to play today before i speak my mind.does every1 agree that the brazil we watched today did not deliver what we were all expecting?from wot i saw today, argentina are the best team so far. we have to wait for spain tomorrow before we decide who has the most chance. even ronaldinho didnt play that brilliant. i think they were lucky croatia did not score to draw the match. if they fail to mesmeriseus by beating australia(who scored 3 goals in 8 min) comprehensively on sunday, then argentina are the best bet to win. speaking about england, wonderful players when they are solo but they've never found the best way to maximise their potential and i blame it on the coach. if england are lucky, they have a good chance of winnin as well, its almost like the whole country is willing them to win but i feel they will be disappointed again. they wouldnt lose much tho cos i know british pple.if they win they will get drunk to celebrate and if they lose they will get drunk to drown their sorrows.either way they still win.

My analysis is not based on the strength of Germany and Argentina but the world cup system and how they were drawn. Brazil will play czech rep in the second round. And England wil make it to the semis but no further

Brazil were disapointing. That is the danger of giving any one team too much hype.
Croatia were a far better team!
