where is starstruck? It would be a real pity if the mods have succeeded in driving her away.
I do not know her whereabouts. However, no one but herself can succeed in driving her away.

For avoidance of doubt, let me recap briefly

There was a simple and non-burdensome instruction, an administrative decision made that she should stop a given activity - posting gifs with every post. This act had resulted in multiple reports to the moderators/admin. The admin/moderators decided that she should stop this, but she refused. After numerous warnings, she was banned.

She proceeded to create multiple profile names (also against forum rules) as well as continuing to post gifs at will, expressly prohibited in several warnings made to her. At this point, a 'zero tolerance' approach was employed that involved deleting any posts of hers containing gifs as well as banning. This is the situation of things. Maybe she has decided to stop registering new names or is having a rethink, I do not know,

What is clear is this - no one can willfully continue to disobey forum rules and administrative decisions made by/on behalf of the admin. It is neither a witch hunt nor exhibition of tyranny - all we ask for is simple compliance, nothing more.

I would like to ask for thread locks for duplicate threads.

I dont understand why the same topic has to be started over and over and over again, unless of course the new topic is a clarify or further explore a subject.

But to keep asking about money and love is repeative (sp).

@ Sistawoman

Please report threads that you think are duplicated. . . sometimes mods might not know of the existence of the thread previously. Wink

When we do know, we endeavour to lock threads and link them, except of course there are merits to a new discussion being made.

Either there are no more fights or the offenders have been banned.  Grin

Oh well, I wanted peace now I've gotten it.  Cheesy

For reference purposes, this thread remains available for anyone with a moderating complaint. Don't derail existing threads with complaints.

As always, REPORT TO MODERATOR if you have issues regarding a post or thread. Wink

I was not expecting people to start logging complaints here like that from the start 'cos most of the complainants will
have already broken bottles and exchanged blows on those threads before complaining, so in short, they will
be guilty too - and those threatening to report me too fall into this category - so in the end both sides of the parties will have
broken quite a number of rules. . .

For instance someone complained about me, and called me an idiot and worse on the
same thread, now do you think he will come and complain here pointing to that thread? when he is more guilty?

Aww. . . my poor baby. I moved on love and I created my own forum. Check out my siggy so that the mods don't fall over themselves while trying to ban me for posting a link.

See you there.

So now we know what happened to starstruck.  Smiley

There's room on the internet for everyone, so do your thing.

@ dhtml   use the report to moderator button first and foremost. if that fails then you can 'report' here.

Well, i know how to use the mod button afteral i was a mod (till some few hours ago).
I just though this thread was meant to resolve disputes directly with all parties present? maybe i misunderstood.

Let me clarify - unless the usual method has failed, don't bring every complaint to this thread. I may not be on nairaland, but I will get an email report if there is an issue. Use the report to mod first, and if we can't solve it that way, then we can consider other means.

the conflict with the affected party by the way.
No problemo, the issue seem to have been resolved though (the other party's free internet seem to have expired).
Thanks debosky, i will try to stay outta trouble. Though for me, it is easier said than done. I either find trouble or the other way.

I think this thread is good for only commenting about the general topics of the forum like for instance, please remove duplicated post or please move the reply button to the left side and t=stuff like that but never would you want to complain about an individual. . . There are loads of militants in here waiting to bash you up  Grin

Someone removed the topic " WOULD YOU PAY OFF YOUR HUSBAND'S GIRRLFRIEND" from this section.

I have checked it on my posts and its not there as well.

I needed opinions there for something very important.

Now who removed it?

debosky, spike and iice, who among you removed the post and why?

You said your posts have also disappeared? If the thread was moved, it should be in the recycle bin, else outright deletion can only be done by Seun.

When did you post on this thread?

oK GOOD, Thanks,

But then there is this option of leaving a link behind when someones post is moved to another séction.
Maybe it should be enabled to make things easier.
Or atleast a pm from the mod can make things easier as well,

Re: Feedback Thread: Talk To Your Moderators

Whenever i move a poster's topic, the least i do is copy the link of that thread and
post it with a short message to the poster. . .So they will not start complaining.

I personally do not feel it is ok to just move some's post like that without informing
them especially if the post does not violate nairaland rules - written / unwritten.

It is important to adopt such "little things" so that people will stop calling us names like "Power Tripping Moderators".
Personally, i hate offending my board members, but when i am on a different board is another thing. . .
