Rape is a unique crime and unless the liar is caught out,its impossible to prove otherwise,the benefit of doubt is ALWAYS with the woman making the allegation.van Piersie (Arsenal) had similar issues some time back. While not condoning rape in anyway, I think we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

One thing you must realise is that EVERYBODY is entitled to his/her own opinion,rather than spew expletives you should use superior arguments to fault such contrary opinions NOT insults . The easiest thing to do is to insult someone else ,it requires little brain work.

Why rape is unique is becos,in almost all cases,the issue of whether sex took place is not in contention,the question is if it was MUTUAL. One party says it was,the other says it wasn't. . . .the law more often than not sides with the women. This doesn't excuse criminals,but its the fact.

On the flip side, there are two sides to a story more importantly when allegations of rape are concerned. I would not be quick to judge him off. I would rather wish to hear his own argument to the story. In the light of none from him, I would assume, he actually did commit rape, and he therefore deserves what he gets.

You cant seem to handle simple facts.  8 different women testified AGAINST him.  And just because you met someone who knows him you start harping on about people who get accused of rape falsely.

I know this guy too well from Gowon Estate, Unilag before he finally traveled to Aberdeen to study software engineering @ Masters level @RGU. He completed this program n went ahead to study Information technology at Robert Gordon University and was working with British Telecoms as at the time of this whole saga. The truth is that this judgment is malicious as is usual with most blacks out there. Why was no mention made of the degrees he acquired in Aberdeen? Why was no mention made of British Telecom where he was a staff? They presume mentioning these would dignify him and hence not portray him in the light they intend the world to see him - Son of Wealthy Nigerian, sexual predator, serial rapist  - how convenient! Aberdeen is a city where girls (over-grown and blatant liars about their ages) throw themselves at men with reckless abandon and turn around and claim rape! How sad, Ekene doesn't deserve this at all, he's a homely, cool-headed, down-to-earth, respectful, supportive and very helpful person. Sometimes, its the good guys who get into trouble. Its very easy to presume that every Nigerian is a criminal hence at the mention of Nigeria, chances are very slim the victim gets good judgment out there. No wonder he kept claiming he is innocent even after the judgment. This guy had such a bright future, I hope the case is appealed and this judgment revised.
