it is a documeneted fact that serial offenders, especially serial killers lead double lives - the amazement of the neighbours when the cops come from mild mannered mr x who has seven corpses in his basement has become cliche.

there was a fellow in school, a medical student, now a mediacl doctor, and if i hera well currently a budding politician in ilorin. this guy was a serial rapist. we all knew - as in guys. most of the time, his crimes went unreported. once, there was a case in which the guy got arrested, ut it eventually died. i actually got to meet the guys dad once - his sis is my wife's friend( i was warning my wife seriously back then - my wife also did not belive at the time, was telling me the guy was 'egbon') the dad said in passing about how one girl tried to set his son up. i didn't talk, as i knew the whole story. a year or so later, the dad had passed on, and the guy like so many serial offenders had stepped up his game.

it should be noted that practically all the guys incidents i heard of were date rape( warning to the ladies )

 he had a friend who had a pistol, and the modus now was after the date, turn the gun on the girl, rape her, force her to perform fellatio, shave her pubic hairs, get it all on camera to be kept in a scrapbook. eventually they did it to the wrong chick and they got arrested. like always, this is nigeria (where the victim must be a prostitute or a loose woman), and nothing happened.

like i said , today the guy is married, a budding politicain relatively successful, i'm sure he has already killed any police records.

Many crimes are considered 'normal' in naija. Sex  with underage girls and sex with unconsenting people. The rationale is always afterall she is fully developed or she was just doing shakara!  People that argue like that just drive me crazy!!!!  .
