Hi Digerati, I had my SRD in Lagos about 3 weeks ago, regret letters have been sent to some peeps, but I have not heard from them yet, i think its a matter of time now, we will keep our fingers crossed. No try my Baba God o, He is too gbaski!  |

hi Digerati,
when i saw your post i wz a lil bit suprised. i didnt know d srd has been going on for this long and that some ppl have done medicals. i did my srd abt 2 wks ago and up till now i havent heard from them. (though some folks from my srd have had bad news)
i have a couple of ques for u:
1. when did u do your srd and hw long did it take b4 they invited u 4 med.? (i.e duration btw srd & med.)
2. are u for HR, Fin or IT?
3. what wz d failure / success rate like for your srd group?
hope d ques arent too much, and i hope 2 get your reply soonest.

@ Corleonee: First I think it's a good sign that you haven't gotten a regret letter. Some pple in my batch too haven't got info yet (esp. those in lagos just like priv@teeye's case). Here are your answers (would love to get same feedback from you too) My SRD was way back early July, I was contacted 3 days after I did for IT I can't really tell the rate but I know three of us hav been contacted and a fourth person (resident in lagos) has not gotten feedback Hope I answered adequately,  . Now it's your turn. |

I have not received any mail also after attending the SRD, guess they haven't gotten back to ppl who had their SRD in Lagos. 'Cos I'm aware they have sent mails advising ppl who were unsuccessful in PH however I've not seen anybody in Lag who has received a mail stating he was unsuccessful or otherwise.
@ Nnengi(hope I spelt it correctly) where was your SRD Lag or PH?

Congrats to all who got sucess letters, just to be clear, did they tell you that they will now endeabour to find a position for you within Shell group, after they have reviewed your qualifications? Thats what I got from them.

Considering the fact that engineers that passed the SRD but could not make the SITP got the same mail i.e. review, and have not been contacted since June. I don't know what to make of the number of successful candidates that Shell wants to find a suitable graduate opportunity for.

@digeratti. i think we must have been on d same SRD day (thursday). i was invited for medicals a few days later and did my medicals. However, since then i have not heard from shell. someone told me not to worry that if u do medicals, u will definitely be called. but somone else is saying that there was a guy who did medicals but was never given employment. please how true is this?

@ Monex, the fact (at least that I'm aware of) is, things seem to be on hold. I've done my medicals as I mentioned earlier but I still got the mail that the recruitment is on hold. Right now I don't believe we should go by hearsay or historical trends, if you've not got an offer in hand yet the deal isn't done. I believe we've done our bit and right now things are outside our reach so let's just trust God that they'll find us all roles within their organisation. |
