if you take time to study the history of great nations around the world you will find out that at one point or the other they had a revolution.For instance the french revolution that saw to the end of tyrant monarchs.the point here is this no nation moves forward without some king of revolution. with what is happening in nigeria we don't need a prophet to tell of a revolution is the way out, imagine our aviation sector, precious lives wasted everyday and know proper investigation is done to ensure terrorist are not in the nation.see untill our ships begin to sink the maritime sector will not be "looked into" as they say.don't get me wrong this revolution may not be a violent one well i don't know how.it may start in your room., on the pges of newspaper anywhere

I never know you are this fearful, for great progress to be made there must be sacrifices, even this present democracy we enjoy some people paid dearly for it. I am suprised you can only write and never want to die for a just cause anyway its better for you that the country remains like this especially if everyone is like you, tell me a great country whose people just sat down and eat amala and soup without radicalism towards a great change?
As for me if there is revolution today i dey kampe, during Abacha despotic rule we knew what we went through, some of us were incarcerated and we can still do it.

Dude its not about been fearful, its the principle and the idea of a radical protest. it won't do no just cause but get you kill and after you are dead, who will lead the liberation? think smart please. there are ways you can get the world to listen to you and make a point, protest is the least favorable one. We all want a better Nigeria but we can't set the stage for people to start acting barbaric. It will only give hoodlums opportunity to steal and loot. Hope you can see my point

True revolution start with our mindset. Many blame the government for several evils including corruption but then give and take bribes. We blame jamb officials and yet bribe to get our children into schools. The way most Nigerians are today they will do worse than the present rulers if they get into govt. Its a pity that by our action we believe that if we can't beat them join them. Hardly will a revolution be about violence but rather it is about speaking out for the truth, living what you believe and rejecting the status quo

Thank you my sister, I just said the same thing in another chat. i am so happy people are seeing the green light, I state again the issue in Nigeria is US Nigerians, we elect this people and we push them to failure, before they are officials no one knows them, but as soon as they are up there, everyone want contracts, and family members want cars houses and other stuff they know this people can't afford, our people need to learn how to SAY NO to people and i can assure you they will perform with no pressure.

Odeku, Tell me about who Fela is? It's kind of of interesting to me that some in America are famously said to be scared of revolution. It was a huge poem in the 1960's, just literally called: Niggers are scared of revolution. As Malcolm X said: Revolution in history has only been one thing: About the Land. Dying/blood for your Land. He laughed at Black Americans so called revolutions that involved neither blood or land. Nigerian scholar Dompere from Howard University, talks about the difference in the nature of revolutions off the continent for Blacks and on the continent -- i.e. on the continent, they found more revolutionary for their land but off the continent --they fought for rights. This is why Continental Africans are so divided because they were forced to fight in bits in pieces against whites, different whites in different areas, with even different colonial languages and different colonial systems. In otherwords Continental Africans have seen the goodness in division. i.e. all whites don't have to leave Africa, but we just want our own land right here. Where as off the Continent Black people have fought amongst whites in a Unified manner. Where you were at, or what language you spoke (Jamaican, Spanish, English) has not mattered. Just as long as you were guilty of the crime in this world off continent of being Black. You fought. Either way On or Off the Continent, Blacks fought against whites but on the Continent in a more revolutionary manner and off the Continent in a more Unified manner. i.e. We must absorb the more revolutionary nature of Africans on the Continent and on the Continent they must absorb the more Unified nature of Africans off the Continent. This is why Dompere is so important to the Afrocentric movement. He is the most important Afrocentric scholar -- in my estimation to come along in many years. He is the only one who has truly been able to come up with a unifying theory of Afrocentrism world wide. The fact that he is Nigerian, and will lead the Afrocentric movement, in America, is just beautiful to me. I believe in that picture of what the Largest Black Nation in the world has to contribute to the Black World. Nigerians think they are so smart but they have no idea how beautiful they are until they "get it" and that smartness is combined with Blackness. They will easily run this whole world. Taking over the Afrocentric movement is just but the first step towards their eventual world domination and greatness. Dompere has easily taken over in Africa-America. The rest of the world is now a matter of time for his ideas to work themselves fully through the Blacks off the continent-- We must become more revolutionary. And Blacks on the Continent -- they must become more Unified.

I have no respect for Malcolm X, he fails to understand that you can achieve alot without violence. War does not determine who is right but who is left. Martin Luther King is the man I have respect for, he achieved his goal without recourse to violence and taking lives. There can be a revolution without massive bloodshed, Malcolm X is wrong and that is that!

A ballot is like a bullet. You don't throw your ballots until you see a target, and if that target is not within your reach, keep your ballot in your pocket. Black people are fed up with the dillydallying, pussyfooting, compromising approach that we've been using toward getting our freedom. Our gospel is black nationalism. We're not trying to threaten the existence of any organization, but we're spreading the gospel of black nationalism. Anywhere there's a church that is also preach and practicing the gospel of black nationalism, join that church. If the NAACP is preaching and practicing the gospel of black nationalism, join the NAACP. If CORE is spreading and practicing the gospel of black nationalism, join CORE. Join any organization that has a gospel that's for the uplift of the black man. And when you get into it and see them pussyfooting or compromising, pull out of it because that's not black nationalism. We'll find another one.
And in this manner, the organizations will increase in number and in quantity and in quality, and by August, it is then our intention to have a black nationalist convention which will consist of delegates from all over the country who are interested in the political, economic and social philosophy of black nationalism. After these delegates convene, we will hold a seminar, we will hold discussions, we will listen to everyone. We want to hear new ideas and new solutions and new answers. And at that time, if we see then to form a black nationalist party, we'll form a black nationalist party, we'll form a black nationalist party. If it's necessary to form a black nationalist army, we'll form a black nationalist army.

1. Why is Malcolm X taught as violent and someone people should turn away from, when he never even slapped a person, after his personal metamorphis, and none of his statements led to war or violence.
2. Yet Patrick Henry is taught as one of the great founding fathers of America and all children are taught to revere him. Even though he was successful in getting his war that ended in many violent bloody deaths of Americans?

Malcolm X was a violent person, the cacucus he belonged to were violent, how do you figure he's never slapped anyone?,  I stand by my statement, there can be a revolution without recourse to war or other extreme violent measures. ofcourse a couple of people might die here and there but that is not equal to war.

Donzman, The next Black Education question of the day. Why are you having to ask me about Malcolm's violence and the group he belonged to violence? Shouldn't there at least be an internet link to someone they have ever slapped or hurt? In fact the only person it is thought (but not proven) that they have ever hurt is in fact Malcolm X. No evidence for Malcolm X's violence and no evidence for NOI violence. Plenty of evidence for Patrick Henry's violence but Americans are taught to fear Malcolm X and to Revere and Honor Patrick Henry. Whites really do a mind job on people, to get them to hate their own Black folks. LOL In a country that celebrates mass murderer Christopher Columbus and wars in Iraq but calls those people -- violent savages. I expect no less. Smile. We may have to invent a better word than 'revolution' to describe accurately exactly what these Ghetto Dwellers in America achieved when they believed God for big things and God was able to use the small man Rev. King to deliver them and the world from centuries of outright racial violence and violent domination. I agree with you. Dompere agrees with you. Malcolm X is still right that calling it revolution as traditionally defined is a misnomer though. Malcolm X was just before his time in understanding that something was different about what African Americans were doing.

I for one am thankful, that your Afri-can't attitude is not the norm for Continental Africans.
