You people should report to the new thread and tell me the meaning of Biafra.
Let this war burst. Uwazurike will not die, he will use all the money he made from selling Biafran passports, Biafran Pound, Biafran pen and Biafran T-shirt to marry the most beautiful girl in Nigeria.
He will even live on to contest for the presidency of Nigeria twice. He will live a fruitful and fulfilling life meanwhile the millions of Igbos or Ibos inclusive that will fight and die in this his Second Biafran War will be mere statistic.
Abeg am more interested in knowing what Biafra means or translates to, than knowing how one man wants to market Biafran souvenir.

To the babies and little kids making noise about massob and this unnecessary separatist act, go home and talk to your parents. Most of you didn't experience the civil war so you'll keep blabbing forever. They can't achieve separation without a war. Trust me, you don't want a repetition of what happened in the 60's

lol @ you can use passport to travel anywhere "lagos and abuja" that sounds to me like y'all going to be in nigeria for a long time, lol
I think its funny how we think that seceding into various states will solve all of nigerias problem. For every state that secedes (north, west, east) its still going to be the same corrupt people in power and the same issues. I personally believe there is safety in numbers and where the number is small you have to pack major heat like north korea.
the USA is made up of 50 different states, i am sure the all have issues like nigeria does, but somehow they have been able to resolve them or atleast live peacefully together and remains the most powerful nation in the world.
Encouraging militants to keep blowin up stuff till they get what they want is a good way of saying you want nigeria to become another Liberia or Rwanda. I think we should stick together, but if you guys want out, then godspeed

Nigeria belongs to all of us. We must work together to make the country to be habitable and welcoming. We need each other for the Nigeria project to work.
Let us stop calling each other names. Let us help to make the country better for everyone without tribalism. Tribalism has given birth to corruption and all type of bad things in Nigeria.
My people, we have no ther country we can call our own. Even though some of us may have nationality of other countries, we are still part and parcel of Nigeria.
Nigeria, Our father land, Our motherland.
My people, let us start by showing love to each other.

There is a difference between those that suffered and those that participated/were alive during the war. I'll bet you that 97% of those that "suffered" during the war are not in support.

I was talking about people that lived in a bush and drank water in which dead animals dwelled, is that suffering enough for you?

Following some statement posted on this thread, i observed a very wrong illusion expressed toward the yorubas concerning breaking up this country call Nigeria. Most expecially the igbos beleived that we are cawards and neutral or deceptfull rather. This is Erroneous and far from the truth. Its the Oduas that started agitating for self determination, resource control, sovereignty etc. Yorubas have everything to stand alone - is it oil, human resources, natural resources, commerce or tech that we dont have ? Although no country can be an island but compare to other part of this country, Yoruba is the best advantage if talking about braking up. We have oil, we can farm to mention few and we are more united after the Norths ( bc of their religion ) when talking of ethnicity " Igbos self are not one. kidnaping up and down. I am in south south, even an ekwere (Rivers pple close to igbos)man will never allow to be called and igbo man talkless of the whole Niger delta.
Freedom does not come without any form of revolution. Declare war on Nigerian state, then conquer before you will start talking of currency, passport. Like i said ealier, igbos should go to their root re strategise and form alliance to become prexi of this country.

This guy called Dnex has made it his point of duty to discuss nothing but Biafra
Biafra no longer exist Nigeria does.
What do we know Nigeria for? A country that never works, where more that 80% of the population live on less than a dollar a day, no jobs for youths, no roads, no hospitals, no schools. Our commander-in-chief goes to Germany and Saudi Arabia for Healthcare, for the average Nigerian anywhere but Nigeria is good enough for studies including Ghana and Cameroun.
Why none of these border you and your only point of duty is Biafra this Igbo that bits my immagination.
The last time I checked the Igbo's have not come close to controlling politics in Nigeria since the civil war and can not possibly be responsible for the sorry state of Nigeria.
Why are folks so lazy in my country?

very informative thread, as a politically conscious yoruba man ive truly learnt a lot that my eyes were not open to before and i will lyke to correct the impression that the southwest is inactive but we are just being the cautious ones as we wouldnt want to lose out in the balance of power when this failed state finally collapses as for my ibo brothers i would implore you guys to restrain yourselves at jumping at every spurious offer proffered by charlatans and real nationalists alike cos lyke they say FOOLS DIE. u guys are powerful enuf to get anything u want in this country and i think u shuld question your sons who av been at the helm of affairs how they fared also u should channel your agitation to increased rights and privieges in this country following the example of the scottish nation did in the uk. to all hatemongers and seccesionists who expend valuable energy fighting fruitless causes i say though u guys deserve so much more in this equation called nigeria this is not the way to go about it. STOP PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE! amnesty without guilt, currency before sovereignty, passport before solid nation framework. ??http

We need articulate and selfless ibo leaders as d mouthpiece of d ibo nation not rich traders who look to line their pockets.the average ibo person is fighting on 2 fronts, the federal might(along with tribalistic nigerians) who deny ibos their due at any given opportunity and refuse to prosecute those who kill ibos and destroy their properties. On d other hand it's against self serving governors dat deceive d people and eternally fail to bring development to d east, they can atleast do their bit and allow nigerians to appreciate d fed govt isn't pulling its weight in d region.if ibo leaders are doing well and d land is developed y are ibos in large number in cameroun, equitorial guinea, gabon, togo, benin etc. and indeed other parts of d country? why can't they invest in their land?they are killed in d north and still they go back there en masse? something must be wrong at home the leaders clearly are short changing d people.those found wanting shud be shot one after d other.

you claim that I have made it a point of duty to always discuss Biafra, yet you have made it a point of duty to always discuss about me whichever thread you go.
Stop trying to assassinate my character cos whatever book you read on propaganda, I friggin' wrote it.
What Biafra means, you can't tell me. Yet you don't want me to find out. Is that how much you cherish ignorance?
My fellow Nigerians, I want you all to think very well before making our decision. I have always been for Naija, but over the last couple of years, I haven't been too sure. However, we must be very careful not to make very terrible decisions.
You think Europe will allow the major African country to disintegrate without arms deals worth trillions of dollars? Nigeria has not fought a war in 3 decades yet weapons sales to Africa is about $60 billion annually.
I can promise you that as we chat, there are factories in America, Europe and Asia producing substandard AK47s and M16 for the second Nigerian civil war. That war will be so terrible that the whole of Africa will not recover from the shock till eternity, talkless of the people who actually fought it. Or did y'all not know that the French and the Russians wanted the first Nigerian Civil War to last forever in order to maximise profit? The French that were selling weapons to the Biafrans even went ahead to sell to the Federal Government too.
If Nigeria is going to break up, whether it is the Fulanis that choose to secede or the Benues, Europe will not let it go down without a big fight that will make them money, give them cheap barter of crude oil, and provide content for their media stations.
For those Yoruba dreaming of a Republic of Benin merger, una nor dey read name? Republic of Benin is just a small part of the Benin Empire. In fact, the current President of Benin Republic is a Bini man. Also, I will like to inform you that Northern Benin Republic is fully populated by PURE Fulani. No Hausas O! No Kanuri. Pure Pullos!

No doubt Ndigbo hav been slaves in this failed state called Nigeria, but I very much doubt these noise makers r willing to pay the ultimate price 4 dis cause, so they should stop deceiving illiterate villagers to throw away their lives while they're called 2 Abj for settlement. Till I see them carry gun, stand in front & head 4 Aso rock/ adopt Al-Qaeda style, they're all jst noise makers. Food 4 tot b4 they even start 2 go dwn dat biaframania road - "he who hopes 4 peace (& security, 2 things we lack in nija) must 1st be prepared 4 war". "To brave men, the prizes of war are LIBERTY & fame". - Spartian saying

Common man, wat do u know about your country nigeria? U are into slavery & yet u cant uplift your country. The northerner will be suffer much in this struggle as they have less man power & resources & educational backgrounds to move the nation forward. If we were still under our colonial master i guess we would be more better than now. U dont have a right to come out open and your struggle will be appreciated. Biafra are right in fighting for their cause. This country cant b ruled by just 2 tribes. The Niger delta (south south) will join the biafran.

This man is such a fool and dullard at the same time. Of what use is holding a passport that one cannot use anywhere in the world.
If you check his house you will find more than one Nigerian Passports, yet he deluding himself and deceiving innocent Ibos.
What the Ibos need is not segregation but a united leadership that can be heard in the Nigerian political equation, but infortunately this unity is not achieveable because of their inherent individual selfishness.
UNITE IBO LEADERS!! UNITE!!!

Uwazurike is just a manufacturer and trader of Souvenirs. I just hope his goods are not SOBstandard cos SON may son bust his factory. I wonder why the CBN sef did not net him for counterfeiting currency.
I've seen people that have made money out of people's emotions. Daniel Kanu for one is there did he really believe in YEAA or he just wanted some fast cash.
Just like people are trading Michael Jackson and Obama souvenirs is the same Uwazurike and Sons are trading Biafra tokens through inflaming the passions of their target market. I give the man an A for Branding ideas.

BIAFRA NATIONAL ANTHEM Land of the Rising Sun
Land of the rising sun, we love and cherish, Beloved homeland of our brave heroes; We must defend our lives or we shall perish, We shall protect our hearts from all our foes; But if the price is death for all we hold dear, Then let us die without a shred of fear. Hail to Biafra, consecrated nation, Oh fatherland, this be our solemn pledge: Defending thee shall be a dedication, Spilling our blood we’ll count a privilege; The waving standard which emboldens the free Shall always be our flag of liberty. We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal, And through the crucible unscathed we’ll pass; When we are poised the wounds of battle to heal, We shall remember those who died in mass; Then shall our trumpets peal the glorious song Of victory we scored o’er might and wrong. Oh God, protect us from the hidden pitfall, Guide all our movements lest we go astray; Give us the strength to heed the humanist call: ‘To give and not to count the cost" each day; Bless those who rule to serve with resoluteness, To make this clime a land of righteousness.
