Belletti returns to training
Juliano Belletti has been declared fit by Club doctors and this Thursday returned to training with the rest of the squad. The Brazilian wingback had been carrying a leg injury for the last two weeks.

Giuly & Iniesta add to Barca's goal tally
Two goals from Giuly and Iniesta sealed the win against Levski and demonstrated that the attacking skills of these two players are essential to the success of the team in a difficult month ahead.

RONALDINHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gaucho has just scored the goal of this century.
Oh my God, FIFA are u watching?
This goal alone sets Ronaldinho apart from all other players in the world.

This is definitely the most audacious goal ever scored on TV.
The chest control, the delicate turn and the over-head kick------------------SENSATIONAL.
I think all the football fans in the world  in general should count 'emselves lucky to have witnessed Ronaldinho.
He might be the last great player we would ever see.

Dinho all the way.
No controversy, you're the best.
Take a bow, son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ronaldinho is better than Zizou.
He is yet to win his 3rd player of the year award.
Dinho has won the world cup, Confed cup, Copa America, Champions League, La Liga etc.
What else has he not won?

Dinho scored a beauty last night, a goal Zizou will and can never score.
Every sports channel has been beaming the goal since last night and this GOAL should remind FIFA that Dinho has no match in world football.
Dinho is the man and he still has many more years to be far greater than any footballer in his generation.

Absolute bollocks! Zizou is and will always be a legend of legends, while your Dinho might never win the best player award again and will just remain a legend as against a more accomplished Zizou. Dinho scores a sweet goal we no hear word again na wa o!

He scored a wonderful goal.
I don't think Zizou with all his brilliance can score that kinda goal.
This is the best individual effort i have ever seen in a football match since Honest Abe signed the paper that freed slaves.

Ronaldinho should win the world player awards again this year.
No controversy, he is a wizard and still has many more years to fulfil his dreams.
He is La Liga's highest goal scorer and u cannot overlook his immense contributions to the team.
DINHO all the way.

U deserve no response for your sentiment-blinded post, dinho that has been largely mediocre this season 2 win again? He that was anonymous thruout the world cup? then the awards should be scrapped

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Reuters) -- European champions Barcelona have been ranked the number one "power brand" in football.

The Catalan club pushed English Premier League Manchester United into second place in the chart compiled by London-based sponsorship agency Global Sponsors.

The list, released at the Soccerex business and sport conference in Dubai, ranked Real Madrid in third with Chelsea, AC Milan, Bayern Munich following.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Lyon completed the top 10.

The sponsorship agency compiled the list using a survey of 100 contacts and clients.

Using a points system, respondents ranked clubs over a number of criteria including history of winning competitions, quality of current sponsors, matchday attendance, profile of the club's manager and the quality and capacity of their stadium.

"Barcelona's international appeal has been enhanced by global icons such as Ronaldinho and manager Frank Rijkaard, who are widely recognized," the agency's commercial director Michael Stirling said.

"The club has developed innovative ways of reaching a global audience."

Reflecting on United's second-place spot, Stirling said: "Manchester United were perhaps an unlikely candidate to finish so far up in the survey given the lack of success in recent times and widespread negative publicity the club has suffered since the hostile (Malcolm) Glazer takeover.

"However, respondents acknowledged that it is not easy to build a truly global brand and United were well on their way to doing so before the distraction of the takeover."

Stirling said recent success on the pitch had improved perceptions, while players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney enhance brand value and recognition.

"No club can compete with the success of Real Madrid's sporting success of winning the European Cup nine times, which entitles it to finish in the top three," Stirling said of the Spaniards.

"Its purchases of world class players or at least world class marketing icons such as David Beckham, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo, has brought with it a global fan base."

The agency said Chelsea had powered its way up the list by drawing global attention with big money signings of the world's biggest names.

------------
Not only are we the best team in the world on a football pitch, we are the best in the world off it and we didnt need to sign "Galacticos" every season in order to do it.

Visca Barça!
