@MC, we played 1-1 with Nurnberg in the Bavarian derby so do you have a problem with that? We are sitting atop our league with a 7 point gap.

No lamentation should be more than an Arsenal fans right now.
@Hustler,
Milan is big enough to attract any player. Champions league football or not Ronaldo Lima joined Inter Milan as world footballer of the year when they had no chance of playing in the Champions league. Ronaldinho joined barca when they were not playing in UCL. recently Lucatoni, Miro Klose and Franck Ribery Europe most sought after rejected Champions league teams to play in Bayern in the UEFA cup.

A team is free to play any tactics against your team. The onus is on your team to open them up. Last year at Bayern we used to complain that teams pack their back and hit us on the counter but this season with our depth and talent even if they build the Great wall of Shanghai in their defence we would break it down.

Like you I don't beleive in the age argument My beleive is that Toddlers don't win Tournaments Example; when Milan in the mid 90's bought a lot of young boys Kluivert, Reizeger, Bogarde, Jose Mari, what did they win- Nothing ? But with their old guards they have played 3 finals and won 2 of the last 5 finals. The Ajax team of then was sprinkled in every department by experienced players who formed the backbone of the Team; Danny Blind in Defence, Frank Rijkaard in Midfield, and jari Litmanen in attack That is if you call Finidi George a small boy as he was officially 24years.
I feel Milan has to remove people like Serginho, Emerson, Simic, Gilardino even Ronaldo. Get a point man like Mario Gomez and Ronaldinho so that all play making would not be on Kaka. Get another good central defender then Milan is good to go.

oh I get . . .Hustler is trying to keep up the thread of lamentators Grin

We are trying to add life and variety to the thread, LOL

There is nothing to lament about seeing that our trophy cabinet is filled to the brim and we have decided to construct a new one as the present one cannot accommodate this yr's UCL and serie a title,

What was the last title u guys won again????Please remind me, Okay the highly competitive and prestigious Emirates Trophy, LOL

BTW,  BARCA OR ROMA FOR UCL TITLE,  I'd hate to see the trophy go to England. WOrst case Chelsea for d title because of their italian history,

Hustler. You are welcome jo. Italian teams I can bear. I just can't stand the pitiful Prem. Clubs.  Tongue Let them enjoy their moment of glory. There'll still be three English teams in the UCL semis, one in the final, but BARCA WILL TAKE THE CUP!!! VIZCA BARCAAA!!!

I made you an offer of Ronaldinho. As a measure of good faith I think you should give us Gatusso in return. We need a hard, determined man like him. Edgar Davids came and helped turn Barca around 4 years ago. His career was already on the decline but the bulldog spirit was there. What do you say. Rijkaard and Ancelotti are good friends.  Wink

Chin up guys. The league is really tough but its not over.

LOL,

RInghio ke?Huh But given his erratic form this season it would not be very hard to let him go, But we know he will bounce backk, LOL, Another thing is Gattuso will never leave Milan to Barca, If he leaves he will be off to scotland again. We can give u Ambrosini tho,

However, i concur that u need that type of fighter to bustlee people off the ball in your midfield, Yaya has done a good job but he is more of a ball retainer than a ball winner in my eyes, His lack of concentration on Juanito's gol over the weekend is also forgivable sha,

But given the kind of midfield Barca currently have it will always be tempting to load the field with offensive minded midfielders all the time. When u have the likes of Deco,Xavi or Iniesta dropping to the bench there could be dressing room issues,  Barca players do not fight for the ball aggresively in midfield,

But Rijkaard has been disappointing too sumtimes with his tactics. Is he missing Tenk  Cate?, What was Henry doing for 90 mins against Betis?? Y'all need Messi back and quick,

We go see now, soon and very soon Messi should be back to do those magic again to complement Eto'o and Bojan and the rest of the killer strikers. To me, the only problem we have is the backline, if that can be taken care of then we are good to go.  Cool

Ol boy! You still dey here! Don't worry, Thursday morning I'll yarn with you after Torres (ex Atletico Madrid) has broken Gallas' waist. I might even condescend to visit the gooner's thread to cheer you up. Tongue

Yesterday was tiiiight! Not sure if we fully deserved to win, but an away victory is what it is.

Bojan is really beginning to shine! He also seems to show up when we need him the most. Strikers are not our problem. Xavi was great last night. We just need ,  Messi!!! Ronaldinho won't be bad but I'm already thinking of life after Dinho Cry

We haven't qualified yet. But we can feel more at ease.

It is a shame what has become of this Barca team. . .And frankly all because of tinkering with what was not broken.

The likes of Yaya, Zambrotta and Abidal have contributed to the decline of this team.

It is a shame sha. . .Like United did winning the Champions League in 99, when most of the major European teams were dreadful,
they will take advantage of thesame again.

This team cannot beat United I am afraid.

I think its time Barca over haul the whole team and start afresh

dropping point at Camp Nou against oppositions like Getafe is definitely not acceptable

am sad this is happening to Frank after building a very successful and enterprising team

All sorts of people are predicting Rjikaard's departure. The current favourite is Pep Guardiola. He was an inspirational midfielder for Barca in the 90s. Part of the famous "Dream Team"

He was a very similar player to Rjikaard. He's Barca born, bred and buttered. Also very smart and a born leader (as a player he was the team captain). I think he has the passion and fire that this current Barca lacks.

Maybe a total overhaul is not such a bad idea. Starting from Rjikaard.

Manchester United. has a great team. But fanaticism aside I still think Barca is better. We have Etoo, Henry, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, maybe even Ronaldinho and Deco if they are in the mood.

They should be the ones intimidated. UCL final: Barcelona Vs Chelsea.

@crazylegs
i shudder at the way you drop names of players to drive home your points
Messi, Eto'o henry and co?
how does that translate to winning games or playing well?
Check the way they have been playing and tell me what you see. They are just big names with no weights.
save for Messi, Iniesta and Xavi. all those Henry and shits you talk about should be given as offerings to some lesser clubs.

United are playing well. Be scared of a team that has not lost game to Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal this season.
That should tell you the capacity of this United side.

I know United will not lose at the Nou Camp, at OT, ure DEAD!!!!

PS: The present Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal will beat this Barca silly

Check that shudder. You could have gotten a cold, or it might just be fear. Grin

OK, OK. I got a bit carried away. Ronaldinho, Deco and Henry will almost surely be leaving next season. They have a lot to do with the problems of FCB now.

I'll admit the obvious: on form Manchester United. should blow Barca away. My only point is that  Barca has a much better squad. Carrick Vs Xavi. Inesta Vs Scholes. No contest. Scholes is good but he's getting old.

How did Milan beat Manchester United. last season? Tight midfield, holding possession and bursting forward with Kaka's speed. Barca can do just that. Iniesta, Xavi and Toure can do the midfield Messi, Etoo and even Henry have the speed and can score the goals. Barca is going through a bad moment, but the quality is still there.

Manchester United. is expecting a bloodbath. But they are in for a surprise.

PS
I know they drew with Recre over the weekend. But thats la liga. Its a different matter. Wink We have to do something about Valdes.

@Crazylegs
its more like this
Hargreaves vs Xavi, Iniesta vs Anderson
Hargo and Anderson were not part of the United that lost to Milan last season.
This present United will annihilate this seasons Milan.

United and Barca going forward can wreck any team, United with Vida back will hold their own defensively against any team in the world but Barca with or wothout Puyol and Valdes is crap.

Lets wait and see, its going to be a mouthwatering affair
United will go ahead and win the tourney.

Year in year out, the best team wins. This present Barca isnt the best team in europe.
The last time Barca won, they were tops in the La liga.
Milan should have been tops last season if not for deducted points, Juve came tops when they won it, Bayern and Real the last time they won it.
Porto did the same and even Dortmund, so how will Barca win from the third position?
No way!

Bojan? im impressed with the way the boi is doing his stuvvs, but, we are Manchester United!

Real won in 2000 and the did not make top 4 in Spain, Liverpool won in 2005 they did not make top 4 in EPL, Can you confidently say Porto was the best team in 2004? Cos Real beat them home and away in groupss and If not for Scholes disallowed goal . Who Knows what would have become of Mourinho.

Thank you my brother. I also had 2000 in mind. I sort of feel history is on Barca's side.

Barca is going to the finals. Not because Manchester United. is not a great team. They are. But simply because Barca has more quality. This is not the Premiership. Thats the mistake Manchester United. fans are making. Manchester United. has not met a team of Barca's quality yet. Roma and Lyon are OK but. . .

Like I also said this is Barca; they have great players in their team I don't see Etoo losing those chances Adebayor gladly threw away. This is not Arsenal

Once again in the last 9 seasons, Man Utd has never beaten a big team in the knock out stage of the UCL.
