Scam Alert: "mtnonline.com", A Successor To "interswitch.ng"
« on: July 03, 2009, 08:06 PM »

Hello People!

YOUR brothers (not mine) are at it again. I have just spent valuable time creating a rule for incoming mails on a particular server.
I have denied access and permanently deleted mails containing subject-headed words as "Congratulations", "interswitch", "debit card" and "payment".
Please do block recipient address  phrases as "customercare" and "fraud".
Hope you all look into your mail blocking capacities. All the best!

That's going to block many legitimate mails.

Sorry.

May I add that the lockdown was particularly linked to sender's address - just those two websites (even if they were genuine but broken into).
Best I could try.
If the weekly scam mail sent to various mailboxes still increase (based on reports) in the following weeks, I might lockdown as well with the antivirus, copying and locking out URLs.
What else can I do? What would you do? Please advice.
