which do you guys prefer?

as for me, i'm a hard core fan of fiction books. just cant get enough of suspense (or medical) thrillers/detective novels. not only do they keep me entertained, they improve my vocabulary too. hard as i try to read non-fiction (inspirational/self help) books, i get bored before i get to the middle and i just put it aside and get the nearest novel Embarrassed

how about you guys

Even though fiction really entertains and takes the reader into the realm of becoming a participant in the fictional dream, it fall short of the kind of intellectual stimulant that non-fiction can give you. The satisfaction and information I derived from reading "The Fugitive Offender" by Anthony Enahoro which incidentally I read when I was in form three in those days, I never derived from reading Matarese Circle or Borne Identity by Robert Ludlum. Non-fiction stimulate the brain and fortify you with varieties of information in a way fiction can never do.
