I know of Skype..it only works with the receiver at the other end having skype software installed. Any other suggestions please?

The receiver does not need to install Skype if you are calling his/her phone. |

Except that it won't be free. The service is called SkypeOut.

Ijebuman.thanks for that software (Voip Buster)..it terminates every 1 minute..I heard of Adcalls that could allow 10 minutes but it doesn't work on my PC...I will update you guys on latest from my side....

You can use them but you will get charged for it. Currently the 2 services i use voip cheap - http://www.voipcheap.co.uk/en/index.html and voip buster - http://www.voipbuster.com only offer free calls to the US (landlines & mobiles), Australia and a couple of European countries. Unfortunately both services have stopped offering free calls to UK land lines  |
