why is There a huge pressure on people to look perfect, it has become alot worse as women now have the airbrushed supermodel to compare to.
Although men have never had as much pressue as women to look good, they have to try a little harder these days, with waxing, wearing making, hair products,beautiful people are more successful and the pressure is on!
Botox injections, and plastic surgery have become the order of the day. you hardly see a woman now, who is not cover in makeup.
why is society so Obsessed with Looks? What Happened to Natural Beauty?

~Self-Interest:Self-Centered: Births Obsession!

If you can't beat them, then you join 'em, right? Of course attractiveness should be appreciated, it's not a bad thing now, is it? Besides I don't think only artificial beauty is appreciated. I'm sure if one is beautiful w/o the plastic surgeries, liposuction and stuff, society will appreciate one even more. PS: I don't think make-up should be categorized in the same manner as plastic surgery. |

It's really sample, you either look good and get what you what or you look like dirt and you will be treated like dirt. I'm not saying that it's a good thing that now days people are more obsesed with how a person looks in the outside than their personality in the inside. I'm just saying that people would rather be looked at as beautiful than to have flaws. It's the way of life. You may be able to change someone's opinion, but it's hard to change the way people view things. |

We biologically want a mate that looks like she possess good genes and the way we judge this is by symmetry of the physical body.
If you see a crooked mouth girl with 11/2 leg you will not want to date her, it is not an unnatural reaction.
Civilisation trys to tell us to look to inner beauty but it is not easy and we tend to revert to our instincts.
