i'm west african so i'm biased toward west africans  Kiss Kiss
I do agree that most ppl find east africans prettier but only because they have more western features. but really I wouldn't be proud of that. it only makes u 2nd class to the original westerners u're being compared to. your beauty lies in your resemblance with them and that is not something to be proud of. I wouldn't be proud of it.

our west african beauty on the other hand is unique and totally ours. it is either you see it or you don't. I see it and also admire others who see it.
dark skin, nappy hair, wide nose, big lips is all beautiful to me.

It is admirable to love oneself but remember AFRICA was here before anyone else. It is the birth place of humanity. The so called "western feature" you're referring to is found not only in East Africa but also every where else in the continent. The fulanis look more Ethiopian than Nigerian and yet they are Nigerians. To say that East Africans are 2nd class to the westerns they are being compared to sounds very unfortunate. The majority of Africans live in Africa therefore who is there to compare them to the white man? The beauty of Africa lies in our differences and similarities. We come in different shades, different textures of hair, body structure something that no other being has. We may appear different from one area to the next but at the end of the day our similarities exceed our differences. Be proud of who you are and let the others be proud of who they are. You have no choice but to have nappy hair, wide nose and thick lips as they have no choice but to have straight nose, straight/ curly hair lighter or darker skin. No one here had anything to do with how they came out looking. I am happy to hear that you are proud of your nappy hair. I wish more of our sisters would embrace that and leave the fake hair and those skin bleaches alone, which is trying to look 2nd to the oyinbo from my understanding of how you defind it. It is amusing to see people mutilating themselves to look like something they weren't born with. I hope you're rocking the fro and the girl who called "Nigerians" ugly is not getting butt implants or injections to have the thick butt look. For the first time in history we have access to get to know one another and this is how we choose to use technology by bashing one another. We have had enough of this separation by the Europeans. This time we should work together in coming as one. West, East, South or North we are ALL one big family. Get to know your neighbors you might just find a nappy hair where you least expected or a big yansh where you thought no one but skinny girls lived. Peace!!!
