Rumour or News, confirmed or Not- the Lagos set up is "no room for opposition" and the only Party is "Asiwaju Personal Party" (APP) dare him and bear the consequence. There is worse dictatorship blood in him than Obasanjo that he critisice while in Government. He only make noise to be popular.

The Source No Rift Between Fashola, Tinubu’—LASG June 25, 2009 14:24, 1,250 views By Kazeem Ugbodaga
The Lagos state government says there has never been a rift between governor Babatunde Fashola and the immediate past governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The government viewed the rumour circulating that there is a rift between the duo as a ploy to distract the government of Fashola. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, who received executive members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos state branch, in his office yesterday, said the state government was not moved by such fabricated lies. According to him, Fashola and Tinubu had never been at loggerheads, saying “they are trying to distract us.”
Bamidele stated that the fact that Fashola had excelled greatly showed that there had not been rift between him and the former governor. The commissioner noted that the Fashola administration would continue to follow the example of the administration of former governors Mobolaji Johnson and Alhaji Lateef Jakande, by impacting on the lives of the people. On the move by the NIPR, Lagos branch, to build the first ever Public Relations (PR) Estate, Bamidele welcomed the idea. He said the estate would help to enhance the mega-city status of the state, adding that the NIPR is the most relevant organisation that had produced dedicated PR practitioners.
He asked the leadership of the NIPR to document all their challenges and what they think government could do to help them actualise their dreams. Bamidele stated that the state government would network with the NIPR in order to move the state forward. Earlier, the outgoing chairman, NIPR, Lagos branch, Mrs. Nkechi Ali-Balogun, complained that the institute was faced with the problem of funding due to the fact that most members of the body did not pay their dues promptly. “Another challenge is capacity building. Our members are not being trained in line with the new trend. Lagos state government has the capacity to train our members,” she said. She stated that the institute would like to partner with the state government to move the state to greater heights. Ali-Balogun appealed to the state government to give the NIPR a land to build its permanent site as well as ensure that over 300 of its members in the civil service pay their dues promptly.

Guys , no need to panic dis one na lie. We have a President more beholden to political miscreant and rabblerousers than he is to solving Nigeria's problem. The disunity and ugly ethnic hatred on this forum shows why our leaders continue to misgovern us with absolute and consumate ease. They can do what they do (loot, misrule, etc) safe in the knowledge that we can never look beyond each others area of origin to challenge their misdeamenours in office !!! This is more Mischief from PDP and UMY. Our President now knows , from Tinubu's role in Ekiti - financial and physical , that he will find it difficult in the South-West region come 2011. Rubbish Fashola, rubbish Tinubu plus lie and promote chaos amongst them is the new agenda of our President while Nigeria crumbles. Guys , the article below is about CODER (Coalition of Democrats for Electoral Reforms) It is Lenghty but anyone who reads its , and notes Tinubu's role as faciliator and Sponsor , will see why Yar Adua is extremely unhappy with a man who is taking a leading role in the agitation to get his clueless a.ss out of office by ensuring the votes of Nigerians counts. The article is titled: Why Buhari, Atiku & Tinubu moved against Yar’Adua, by Ayo Opadokunhttp://www.vanguardngr.com/2009/08/08/why-buhari-atiku-tinubu-moved-against-yar%E2%80%99adua-by-ayo-opadokun/So, we decided to think among ourselves and we met with Bola Tinubu who has been thinking seriously about the probability of our doing something over this matter. We started meeting together and Tinubu facilitated our putting a team together; it was in the process that we knew among ourselves that it was important for us to organise a technical committee that would produce a position paper for us. Asiwaju Tinubu produced the resources with which we could do the job.

When will god fatherizing stop in Naija's politices. When will credible Leaders come out & lead the pple on their own without undue interference from the so called God fathers. When whatever the case the godson & godfather should make amends otherwise the ruling party (PDP) will take the advantage in 2011 polls.

Its strange it hasn't happenned earlier than now! ,there has been suppressed skirmishes here and there b/w them mainly because of Tinubu's greed and abject innertia. When you are outperformed by your predecessor within an incomperable time line, what do you expect? The P.H.D syndrome will definitely play out.Tinubu should know that change happens and lagosians will pull a suprise on him if he takes them 4 granted come 2011.

Well I do not mind if they are at loggerheads. Fashola has made suh an impact in Lagos that even a new born child woul not think twwice before voting him in for second tenure. Well I think this will make sense only if the votes are actually being counted.

Our yeye people - when will they ever stand up and fight? Too busy waiting for Jesus!!! I suppose.
Nigerians deserve our wretchedness and suffering. Why spend years blaiming the oppressors (who for the last 20-30 years are less than 10,000 in number) when the wretched and impoverished masses (over 140 million!!!!!!!) stand idly by looking at their future and lives ruined beyond reason.
Fela said it all. Let Tinubu be - abi be ko?

i dont know why many people are oblivius of this story. heard and read from reliable sources almost 3 weeks ago now. why should it be something to be surprised about? tinubu wants almost all the contracts and fashola says despite the 500million he pays every month to ac, tinubu, for two years now, tinubu's construction companies have handled the juiciest contracts forming 60% of all contracts since he entered as governor, fashola has begun to feel the restaint caused by the financial limitations these cause him and says he has projects to execute, tinubu is standing in the way

Fellow nigerians, know this , nothing good can come fron any politician in this country i only pitty d pple that vote because there vote does not count, fashola is trying truly but his programme is too elitist he does not want poor pple in lagos he wants only d rich who does not vote in lagos and wants to push the poor that stick out there neck even in the rain to vote back to the village, He use weapons like LASTMA ,KAI,LASSA e.t.c to harass innocent citizen in the state, some pple says lagosians needs though hands but he the governor is not the first we are having in lagos that has done well and did not harass lagosians, he has not done half of what jakande did to lagos , half of what col .buba marwa did to lagos without any hrassment to lagosians, i know if he does not have problem with asiwaju tinubu, he will definitely have problem with the electorates by next elections because those rhat will vote has been sent to the village by his weapons,

I for one want to wholeheartedly believe that it is a rumour. Both men are fine gentle who can sort out whatever difference they have amicably. As we all quite know, it is human to disagree but it is more sensible to reconcile. Let me use this opportunity to inform these two human blessing to Nigeria that they should prove this rumour wrong, as we who are the progressives and reformist would be most disappointed if they happen to depart at this point of national rebirth. May their friendship continue to flourish. www.internetbusinessdon.blogspot.comwww.stockmarketdon.blogspot.comwww.adogbejijaho.blogspot.comwww.natureherbalcure.blogspot.com

i think i need to make it clear that I'm pro-fashola & dat much should be clear from my previous posts. i also appreciate the leadership & political direction of BAT (Bola Ahmed Tinubu),7 dats why once I learnt of this . . .I'll call it 'misunderstanding',I immediately came to town to have it confirmed & vigorously discussed. the fact is we need both men in the camp of the progressives to conquer the satanic tendencies of PDP(Yar'A dull,Bode George etc) ,so certainly hope the story is false & we have all been mistaken. But if true where do we go from here?

Fashola is doing a good job but Muiz banire will turn lagos to london in two years. With zero experince before assuming office fashola is doing the best he can do but he would not have been able to do this much without people like banire behind him as i understand from inside sources that most of the brilliant ideas from fashola are actually banire's suggestions at the executive council meeting, if someone like banire is governor,In eight years lagos would become the standard and the reference for journalists and bookmakers. If Tinubu plans to annoint Banire in place of fashola in 2011 it would not be because fashola is at loggerheads with him but because he knows that banire has more experieince and the capapbility to perform far better in delivering dividends of democracy to the people and taking lagos to where the world wants it to be,
Banire's achievements while in the transport ministry have been impossible to match by subsequent commissioners, we all see how useless lastma has become, Banire's achievements in the environment ministry now are also phenomenal, with the tree planting movement, beautification, mass construction of drainages ,the wate mangement efficiency, lawma efficiency dueto his strict leadership, Banire is the messiah lagos needs to go from lagos to london within a tenure.
People with such experieince, dedication and zeal should be given a chance.I love fashola, but imexcited to see a lagos with banire's leadership.

Lol, i noticed that too, banire is definitely not an ajebutter.but im sure u'll agree with me that ruggedity is one of the important ingredients a lagos governor needs
true talk. he used to be a lecturer with Unilag faculty of law (I dnt know if he's still there),& he's indeed a performer. But we need them both on the same team. PDP will certainly take advantage of this if AC/Tinubu/Fash dnt get their acts together.

Whether true or not, i think the earlier Fashola parts way with Tinube, the better for him and Lagosians. Tinube is kind of too ambitious. Recently, we were in Sheraton for the public presentation of his another political group called CODER. I thought it was a sincere approach towards actualizing free and fair election, untill I met with the kind of persons present and the speeches made. An AC party in disguise. Very ambitious man.
