am glad u guys are interested.  Am thinking of paying the N2000 membership fee for the May 2008 induction.  Lets still make more enquries before final decision.  That will be a good umbrella to pull us together.

just spoke with someone i later knew is the DG of the institute on this number 08033011365 as appeared on their site.

Those credit hours is the unit on any one mandatory course a member attends in a year, and a mandatory course is 20 credit hours, so when you attend twice that in a year, you have fulfilled your full requirement for membership in the institute for the year. Meaning you must attend a course at least once in a year.

the fees the last sheet of the application form is the authentic one and should be followed
www.nipsecretaries.org/nipsform2.htm you can either download, print and fill out this form or you go to their secretariat and collect one.

There are groupings for members but a new member can easily fix self to a group as desired.

Please try and call the above number, am too sure you will hear more.

@gentlelove, when did u join them and how do you see things there?  How many times do they do induction in a year, incase one is not able to meet up with May 10 induction?

l will call the DG myself.

my view on  ICSAN  is that its favours Law professionals than administrative secretaries.  l believe there is a big distinction between Admin Secretaries and Coy Secretaries.  l have never seen any coy secretary whose background is HND/Bsc in Sec. Admin.

No harm in additional qualification anyway, but just saying my mind.

l can understand your plight.  Chartered insitute of adminstration is a good one, l hv been planning to roll in  for years now, l think am so lazy about it. Going back to school to earn Bsc may still be a good option, but have u thought of doing a PGD and Masters?  l learnt at chartered insitute of administration they also do  degree program organised by Imo State University, as their student have u considered this option.

I think I need a personal assistant but I'm not sure. 
How can one be sure that one needs your services?

Thanks gentledove.  Based on what you said, 

l called the DG, he said induction is done twice a year, after the May 2008, they are proposing another one for September 2008 in Abuja, but has not finally decided on it yet.  Therefore if you miss the Lagos induction for May, you have to wait till April/May 2009 for another one.

Since you have paid, do it and tell us how far, l will do mine next year.  _{(hahaha, am always procasitnating, God go help me oo - time waits for nobody!)}

So them still get another one.

@nasirtofa, when did you join the association?  What are the financial obligation apart from the membership registration fee.  l mean as in yearly subcription fee or any other.
