how can i unlock my nokia N70 is saying sim card invalid plzzzz help me

Yes N72 support both jar and sis format the brand new is around 20,000 naira other nokia which support jar and sis are n70,3230,6600 note dont try buying 6600 coz it has too many virus attack,N70 is the most advanced of this classes of phone i.e s60 v2.

@otuboy try with another sim that you confirm working in other phones if it is still writing sim card invalid then note the following 1.Make sure you are using original nokia battery2.Try restarting your phone after switching on in tools>settings>phone>general>original phone settings if after restoring the original setting the problem persist just press *#7370# to format your phone you may backup before formatting.After doing this it should be okay if not it is hardware problem so take it to repairer for a try

@nicehans i will advice you buy N70 because it rarely have problems that other phone have and it give you full control of your phone.N72 is os8 while N70 is os8.1 so there are some apps which work on n70 but not in n72

@booged et al N70,N72,3230,6600 etc are all s60v2 phones.As to the difference between s60v2 and v3 s60v2 was developed before s60v3 that means s60v2 will have less feature than s60v3.However s60v3 and s60v2 do not support each others apps except in few cases like the new python apps being developed s60v2 mostly support files with .Sis extension but not all that is why some application will write 'file corrupted ' when you try to install them.So you should make sure anything you want to download is for your os before downloading them.Some s60v3 support files with .sisx and some support .sis .Some s60v3 are also called os9.1.Examples of s60v3 are N71,N77,N81 E-series,N97 etc.

I forgot My N70 padlock code. Now I can't  lock my phone. I have done *#7370# but asking me the code I forgot. Pls. advise me on what to do.

@boller and muchin when you insert memory card does your phone show any sign of anything being inserted eg hanging for some period? Have you tested memory card that are working in other phone,some phone do select memory card like my N70 it took me almost a month searching for memory card before i found a compatible one i will recommend a memory card called i card for you to test with your phone.@muchin As for the unlock code just download and install this attachment called unlock me i uploaded here dont mind the .jpg it is actually a .sis or you can go to www.sharemobile.ro and search for unlock me After installing this app launch it and wait untill it generate your phone password

Your system can only recognise your memory card if you have not installed pc suite even if you install nokia driver you cant view your phone memory only your memory card data will be visible because symbian phone has high security.Pc suite is tested and trusted and it has many function go and get it installed on your pc
