Reflect on this while am gone: Just a average critic.

No honestly I think all fans need to actually be fair with their criticism because Relapse wasn't a classic and infact listening to the album u could tell that Relapse 1 is probably going to be the worse out of the 2 cd series. Meaning that Em admitted to giving in TWO cds to Interscope which they would use as two albums, what do u think they did? Put all the best music on the first one? HELL NO! I listened to that album and I KNOW for sure they put the shittiest of his songs with a few good tracks out on the first one and the second one will have all the bangers,  if u look back at the album u would see lyrical-wise the best tracks are,  'Medicine Ball', 'For Old Time's Sake' 'Must Be The Ganja' and 'Underground' with 'Underground' being the best track lyrically on the album,  it taking u back to some old Em,

NOW if u got the cd with the bonus tracks u would have heard 'My Darling' and 'Careful What U Wish For' which are also lyrically refreshing,  all the songs I named are very good songs and the BEST songs Relapse had to offer but I believe that was a look at what was to come. Otherwise songs like 'My Mom' dat was annoying, we have heard enough about you and your mom now,  get the mess over it,  'Insane' do I need to say anything about that one? Ok the point is this,  the Em album was a nice concept album which ppl need to do more of in Hip Hop and it was refreshing to hear an album full of Dr. Dre production because we been missing that in the game. Other than that there is no way that Em's album should be the best album of the year,  but its up there,  for argument sake I will say this,

Top 3 best albums of the year (in no particular order) 1. Jay-Z - Blueprint 3 2. Eminem - Relapse 3. Rick Ross - Deeper Than Rap I know alot of haters wont want to agree with the Rick Ross album being that good but honestly,  there was some timeless music on that album, listen that shit back and really tell me what the flaws were because it had good/great production and lyrics were on point,  aswell as Ricky Ross held is own on the track 'The Usual Suspects' with Nas,  that calls for an applause,  Big up Jigga for continuing to do major figgaz,  Cudi we see u and Drake deserves a standing ovation for putting up those numbers with a mixtape-turned-EP,

This is a heap of applesauce. . . . .

"Stay Wide Awake" is better than all the tracks on BP3 put together.
Relapse shines through for better lyrics and some ill flows and it's got more REPLAY value than BP3.
Jigga's flows hardly changes and he should stop making those sex-noises on a rap record(UH!! AHHHH!!!) WTF??

Empire State of Mind na RAP SONG?

Go and listen to Stay Wide Awake especially the 2nd/3rd verses. . . . .Eminem raped the beats. the flow, the rhythm by telling a horror story using the same number of syllables per line and using full bars to rhymes.

Erm . . . how much did you predict Jay-Z would sell again??

This is someone that just released an album two years ago, so there's no extreme anticipation.
He's black . . . so topping the UK charts is big. . .I was at Wembley when he owned Coldplay.

For mess's sake, he's got more No 1 albums than Elvis. . . how can you disrespect the Empire's most famous son??

There were more than 50 Eminem threads in the summer when Relapse was dropped.
So you think NL is the measure of their popularity as far as their recent albums are concerned? Don't amuse me.

Stats of the matter:

Eminem(693,000 units in his first week).
Jay-Z(475,000 units in his first week).

first things first "Relaspse" was a comeback album after some years, jigga's comeback album sold 680,000 first week, so nigga quit it.

As far i'm concerned "eminem" he was s'posed to even sell more but the junk on the album, cudn't help out. That album was a waste of my money and time. wut the fu.ck was em sayin "bagpipes from baghdad" NIGGA PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

No track on that album can measure up to ESOM, Thank you, So ambitious, On to the next one, Already home (ma personal fave) mehn, the list goes on and on.

All most all rappers this year, had fuc.ked up sales, go check hiphopdx, and see 4 urself, even Kid cudi, sold a fu.ckin 180,000, drake re-released so far gone EP was 120,000 and fat joe (oh dont get me started) 8,500, raekwon, 60,000 and them the list continues. In the middle of this poor sales, jigga still sold 1.2 mil, nigga wut more can u say. Only BEP comes close and to me dats a pop/rap crew not RAP itself.

this is just a lil tip of wut that album contains

I tink wit indellible ink, and let ma pen go/ verses are permanently tattooed, serve as mementos

The Empire State of Mind video made me fall in love with the song all over again who directs this guy's videos? I have a feeling its the same dude that did the "When The Money Goes" video

Methinks Jigga can up his sales if he drops a few more videos maybe a max of two
Real as it gets and So Ambitious would be good choices

I have never seen Jigga or Rick Ross put out a weak video

@Vuitton
I agree with 99.9% of your posts on here except the part where you listed Relapse ahead of Deeper Than Rap in the top 3 albums of the year come on now "Magnificent" "Usual Suspects" and "Valley of Death" feat M.J.B are better than anything Eminem has put out since The Eminem Show LP so how can Relapse be better than Deeper Than Rap

And since you kno the sales in the first week btw the two rappers why not also display the second weeks sales of both of them where Jay Z outsold Em!!!
Goes to show that after fans bought Em's album reviews were quite poor thus affecting 2nd week sales. . .

How many of Jay Z's albums were bought by Def Jam (or whatever record label he's on now). Una think say we no know the scope? These days, a nuccas record company orders like 500,000 copies in the first week to make the fans believe that there is demand for the album. Same thing happened to Lil Wayne. Perhaps the same thing with Em as well.

Both these rappers are washed up abeg. The only difference is that Em is making attempts to get back to his previous level whilst Jigga is getting more watered down with each album.

I dont believe in idolising rappers throughout their whole career like A-40 (Jay-Z stan) and Sauron (Eminem stan). The law of diminishing returns will kick in at some point, and then its time to look for for a hotter rapper to listen to.

How do you sign rappers some of them on multi million dollar deals, pay for videos, production e.t.c and still order their albums en masse. So how do they make their gwap? Did they tell u record labels are Santa Claus

Now i am not saying Jay-Z is the hottest rapper right now i am only asking who's hotter? Kanye,Drake,Wayne,EM,Nas? Get outta here mayne. . Till any other rapper comes out with consistently hotter ish leave me let me be a Jigga stan

Def Jam rappers always buy their own albums to make the sales look good and i won't be surprised if Jigga didn't do this.

Eminem

1st week + 2nd week = 608,000 + 211,000 = 819,000

Jigga

1st week + 2nd week = 476,000 + 298,000 = 774,000
