@BabiosisiAny Nigerian reading this whole thread will see the fun in it all.
Don't take things so seriously . I don't think your idea of Nigerian humor is any much different from other black humor. However, sense you insist that you speak for all Nigerians when you say this verbal tribal warfare is all humor, I would like to hear that from other Nigerians and not just the Igbo friends who will come to your defense. AA people joke with each other all day but joking with each other is not accompanied by insults of ones grammar or if one is intelligent enough to speak white peoples language. We know that by nature none of us are English and the language does not belong to us in the first place so why would we at all times speak it right and why would we determine our intelligence based on white peoples language, spelling and grammar? However, those AA people who do result to insults on a fellow AA, are viewed as high up on their horse and forgetting where they came from. If this is humor, I wish Nigerians could exhibit this same humor towards white people because we sure as hell have no problems insulting each other and the tribal and ethnic back grounds we come from.

For those of you who are pretending like you don't take anything seriously, your kidding your self. I personally know enough Igbo and Yuroba to know that a lot of the stuff they are saying to each other in Nairaland is not for joking purposes. Some of you may be joking but a lot of you take it seriously. All I am saying is, Igbo being slaughtered by their own or by anyone, is a serious thing, nothing to be joking about. Yuroba being looked at as an unattractive tribe by their fellow Nigerians is not a joke. I am not the only one who takes those matters seriously as I am sure a lot of you do. A lot of you are now acting as though this is all fun but let a tribal warfare in Nigeria brake out where certain tribes are doing this or doing that. Many of you will be in Nairaland starting topics about this tribe and that tribe as many of you have done in the past. Then I am sure many of you will not be taking any of the things being said to you and about you as a joke. I don't see how the so called jokes is a contribution to bringing peace amongst all Nigerians, I really don't see how but if none of you think that the joking should be cooled in order to make peace amongst the ones who are serious, then Ahbeg - please ignore anything that I have said pertaining to that notion
