Well, I got a copy of the Daily Mirror this morning and saw a naked girl on the cover. The vendor basically thrust the paper into my face. However, I noticed that the pictures were culled from an internet porn site. I think the psper pulled a fast one in order to increase circulation. Or, it could be a repeat of the Hogan affair.

Nigerians Condemn Student Porn Star 

Some Nigerians have expressed their disappointment in the subject of Saturday Mirror’s cover story, the unnamed final year female undergraduate of the University of Port Harcourt who the newspaper reported as the alleged star of a sleazy pornographic movie that was posted on the Internet.

Interestingly most of the reactions have come from the main campus of the university, where a number of students fiercely spoke out against what they consider to be an invasion of the academic environment by sex-hungry expatriate staff of some of the oil companies resident in the garden city. Says one male student who claims to know the subject of last week’s story very well: “You need to come here on a weekend and see things for yourself. What you people wrote about that girl is true. I know her. He is one those who like to show off on campus. Some of these girls have no shame. All they ever think of is going around with those white guys, hanging out with them in big hotels. How they manage to pass their exams is what I don’t know”.

Another student of the university, who also pleaded anonymity, disclosed that contrary to what most parents think, prostitution is the “major industry” on campus in which the student-whores and their pimps are key players. According to her, most Friday nights some of these girls could be seen leaving their various hostels accompanied by their white boyfriends or Nigerian pimps and most likely, heading for a party somewhere in the city or for a secret rendezvous. During one of such outings, Saturday Mirror reliably gathered, a couple of female undergraduates allegedly lost their lives after a boat transporting them to a party off-shore capsized midstream. Only few people on board survived the mishap, which curiously was not reported in the news media.

A third witness, a lecturer this time, actually told Saturday Mirror that he knew the female porn star in person. “I also know that she is a wayward girl, one of those who kept wild company and paid less attention to their studies” he says, but also adds that she might not be the only student involved in that particular pornographic movie. According to the witnesses, a sad fallout of this scandalous affair is the rise in the number of half-caste children fathered by the white oil workers.

A recent statement signed by one Williams Wodi, a Deputy Registrar with the University of Port Harcourt, effectively dissociates the institution from the female porn star, while in the same breath dismissing what it describes as the naïve assumption that every female undergraduate who decides to go naked on the streets of Port Harcourt must be a student of the university.

Lending her voice to the criticisms, Ifeoma Ezeabasili, university teacher and president of Women Advancement Initiatives International, describes the student porn star as ‘psychologically imbalanced’, adding that she should be punished for dragging her womanhood into disrepute. Says she: “That girl lacks conscience. She should be made to face the consequence. And the man should be dealt with for bringing womanhood into ridicule”.

Other Nigerians, including Mrs. Emily Sakpere, who just returned from a trip to the UK have also condemned the development.

hahahahaha, its so funny that girls don't realize that what they do today will come back to them tomorrow. I keep asking myself why will a girl pose nude for a photo? and what in Gods name will make a girl pose nude for a photo? well like they say it a crazy world, but that does not mean a girl should open her legs for a man to take a pictures of a nudity. Its so sad Anita cheapen herself to a Zero level. I believe girls should be wise enough not to be decieve by men, no matter how much the offer may be, they should understand that their body is priceless.
