My sister ask am oh,how many wives? In every other posting of his he talks about women and his sex appeal. Olabowole you need to start an agency. The ad could go like this.
Handsome stud, recruiting muslim women or those willing to convert to Islam. Come taste true love, olabowole style. This is what you've been waiting for sans viagra. Goodlooking, sexy Muslim man with a full chin of beard. Come and start your jannat here on earth. Come one, come four.

I have nothing against Islam per se. I have everything against RADICAL Sunni Islamic fundamentalists just as I do with Christian fundamentalists like George Bush. Unfortunately Hausas are for the most part, even more radical or as radical as whabbi moslems in Saudi Arabia, afterall they actually instituted sharia law at one time or other in several northern states. Nigeria is one yet they institute islamic law against people that aren't moslem.
Yoruba moslems exists but they do not go around killing Igbos because a dutchman drew cartoons about the prophet mohammed.

It's a mere question that I felt like asking. I already concluded that they were either on a secret island or that if an Ibo woman were to marry a Muslim(never seen this either), the children will be most likely raised by Islam. This thread was thankfully cleaned by the mods because of the self righteous road it was taking, can we not have that happen again? There are quite a number of Igbo women who are Christians that have been married to Northern Muslims over the years. A few of them live in Lagos. Mrs. Jennifer Iwenjiora is an Igbo lady from Onitsha who is married to the current Vice-President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. She is his third wife, I believe. Maryam Babangida too is an Igbo lady from Asaba, who got married to the former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Dunno if this information would help.

They (women) don't necessarily have to get married to live a normal life.

Oh I forgot to add this: The wife of Dr. Ahmadu Alli of the PDP is an Igbo woman. Her name is Chief Mrs. Nneamaka Alli from Asaba. She is an Igbo lady married to a Muslim northerner.
Prof. Ebele Amali is a lecturer of economics, in one of the universities in the North. Her husband Prof. Shamsideen Amali is also a lecturer in the University of Ilorin. Ehm, I believe the lady is Igbo. So the marriage of Igbo women to Northern muslims may be more common than most people think.

Ibo people as muslims can only be as a default. Like Celestine Babayaro and his brothers ( from Imo State) had to change their names to be included in our national U17 team.

The lady who started this thread wanted to know if there were Igbo born Muslims not converts like some opportunists I know(Will not mention names). And in all my years in Igboland born and raised,I saw none so I doubt if your parents were born Muslims in Igboland. Please speak the truth. Where are from in Okija and I'll prove if you're lying.

The lady who started this thread wanted to know if there were Igbo born Muslims not converts like some opportunists I know(Will not mention names). I dont think she meant that. i think it is just the way she wrote it: Are there ibo muslims? I think there are few of who r mostly converts if not all.some would be quick to say its just for safety but i think there is some conviction as well afterall there are others living in the north and they havent converted. Just to add a point, whether you r born into Islam or u converted ,a muslim is a muslim.

There are several Hausa Christians in the North. I dont think so. Several xtians in the north yes, those that are not hausa people e.g wusasa, kwoi, kagoro,in kaduna, wukari in taraba nd some i cant readily remember. Your example of Ishaya Audu is right but he is not hausa. from one of th areas i just mentioned in kaduna.Very very few hausa converts if at all any.

Your example of Ishaya Audu is right but he is not hausa. from one of th areas i just mentioned in kaduna.Very very few hausa converts if at all any. Pray tell, where then is he from? Professor Ishaya Shuaibu Audu was born on the 1st of March 1927 in Anchau, Ikara Local Government area of Kaduna State. Are people from this area not called Hausa? Please correct me if am wrong. "Professor Ishaya Shuaib Audu was a personal physician to the Premier of Northern Nigeria, the 1st indigenous Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (1966-1975), a Honourable Minister of External Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1980-1983) and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York (1983) among the many positions and appointments, he held.
In an era when even a Local Government councillor can secure an overwhelming access to public treasury for personal enrichments as mansions, streams of choice cars etc, Professor Audu’s held about ten national assignments, even at an era of the oil-boom, at the tender age of 39 as the Vice-chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, but had only his integrity and humility as its product and very little else to show for it. Before his death he was the Chairman National Health Insurance Scheme. But here was a man who could not sponsor himself for medical treatment abroad! Here was a man who established a Clinic (Savannah Polyclinic) and a Church (Charity and Faith Mission inc.) with his meager resources just for the service of humanity."You can find more information about him on this website; http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:3xma-GRhkhQJ:www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/paul-mamza/nigeria-s-unsung-heroes-9-professor-ishaya-shuaibu.html+ishaya+audu+nigeria&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=ng

People from ikara are called "hausa" by people that dont know. there is this general assumption from people esp. southerners. once you are from the north, you are branded hausa.e.g am from kogi but some brand me hausa. Ikara is not a hausa local govt.E.g of a hausa local govt is makarfi, zaria, kaduna north e.t.c. And people of non hausa origin are more in kaduna as per indigenous population. They call them chongai people(a slang).

But I have met people from the Ikhara local govt. area who say they are Hausa. Please note: am well aware that not all northerners are Hausa, even though Hausa is a common language in the North.
