please help me out, i deposited 1million last week with spring bank for 30days as fixed deposit and the certificate came out this morning and the interest at 12% is 8650, please is that false.I thought it will be 10k every month
can some1 help me with the calculation

Hi dude, Why on earth should you even deposit such amount in a bank on fixed deposit only hoping to get measly N10,000 at the end of the month? Meanwhile, I know quite well 12% of a million Naira should be more than N10,000 though I'm not good at Mathematics. Call the police for them!  On a more serious note, why not give me the money and I will be giving you 20% of it as interest every month? I have a Midas touch - anything I touch turns to money. |

U need to talk to your account officer in that bank or at least an official who should clearify cos from my knowledge of fixed deposit and from my calculations, its only 1k less cos the 12% interest on 1million is for 365days and then multiplied by 30days and it comes to 9,863 so get clearance
however,its never really worth fixing money with this banks especially if its not a huge amount and even then why should your money be working for someone else?
