Where Are Soludo's Coins
« on: August 22, 2009, 08:11 PM »

Currency reform was integral to the banking consolidation and financial sector reform of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, former Central Bank Governor,it was a welcome news when the former CBN chief decided to re-introduce coins into the system along with a series of new naira notes, the return of coins was celebrated with fan fair.Soludo compel us all to use coins and accept change in the new coins, the imminent return of coins was expected by the public to reduce the abnormal situation in which kobo exists only in bank statements and company balance sheets.
The mint is reported to have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to mint these fancy coins. Now that we are asking questions about the banking and financial system, it would be nice for the CBN to find out and tell the public what has become of Soludo's coins because it seems to have disappeared from the system.

Reason man , nobody is trying to castigate anybody but the truth is the introduction of the coins which are meant to check inflation are no longer in circulation.
So why the cry or is Soludo your brother ?  Grin
