I used "Nokia maps updater" first to update to Ovi 3 in which it deleted my old version 2 on my N95 v.31.0.017 phone.I then used Nokia map loader to download Nigeria(17 MB).I also downloaded voice(Female-Uk) 4MB.And it works perfectly in offline mode without deducting or going online.u have to do the settings on the Ovi map too not to go online @ start up.But i guess skyscrapers are blocking my GPS Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin However, i read a post about how to fix lost GPS signal.I will try that later

@jeophri
Nokia maps and Garmin maps require a pc cos no .sis files are available for now.i'm just back from a lil' research and i discovered garmin xt beats nokia maps in everything.
Yes,you need PC suite for Nokia maps cos u need to update your ovi maps to 3.0.
I'll install garmin once i lay my hands on a pc.Till then Cry
@akposking
Google maps is crap.on the ovi maps,=go to options,=tools,=go offline.i hope you've installed naija maps though.

Here's a sample from my nokia map, they seems to charge me 1naira every 45mins, I dont know how that works, but i guess am lucky. I just updated my nokia maps via pc on my e71 and am loving it, it's really helping me to locate eateries, filling stations, hospitals, churches and so on, It works perfectly.
